  1. Hi Janet...omg....that sounds painful and I hope you will be ok! Yes, there is Ross right near me. I know they have luggage dept and accessories too. I will check it out and maybe this cruise will be my first one without a checked bag. But I say that alot and then I bring the 25 inch one anyway LOL
  2. I was on Nova back in November and I did sign up for The Chef's Table. Trying to think back....I believe I went to Guest Relations and they were the ones to help me. So I would go see them. The nice thing about ships that don't carry 1,000's of people.....I have never felt like I was on a "Cattle Call" for anything. I usually just get a regular veranda and never had any issues. .Boarding is usually painless and it doesn't matter what category of cabin you have booked. You asked about the Salt Lab.......usually it is certain dishes that the Chef's has chosen, relating to the region the cruise is going on. I also went to a session for the Lab. I think we made 3 or 4 dishes. It is more like a cooking class.......I have always found it very fun😀
  3. Your post is very interesting to me. I have a question about the part about not having to wait on line for lunch at the buffet. I have read that Luminae is closed for lunch on port days. What are your other options for that meal? (On those days).
  4. My next cruise is at the end of May out of NJ going to Bermuda. I will be checking the weather a few days before I go....i haven't decided what I am wearing yet. Maybe a pair of white jeans and I may buy a new top.
  5. I always read these type of threads and it is interesting to me to see what "other extra stuff" people bring with them. I have been cruising for 20+ years and have never brought many of the items mentioned and to be honest, I don't remember ever missing them either. Never brought duct tape with me or a highlighter. Never brought anything to hang over the door or clothes pins. Never brough a phone lanyard or sticky notes. Never brought stain remover or a power pack. The only time I can recall bringing a poncho with me was anytime I cruised to Alaska. I guess I am just a minimalist. My only most important things are my passport, a couple of credit cands, some cash and my meds. Different strokes for different folks😀
  6. One piece of luggage for 4 people? You get a big WOW from me.
  7. I never bring anything back for anyone. It seems many folks don't realize some of us have no family (at least locally). The only thing I can remember purchasing in the past few years is a pair of beautiful earrings from Rhodes, Greece. But as for bringing back "souvenirs" for family? Never do it and never will.
  8. Hi, I was thinking about my upcoming cruise at the end of May. It will be the first time I will be going on a 7 day cruise in a long, long, time. I am almost thinking I could do it with a carry on and and medium size tote bag. I have time to make a decision. It is a cruise to Bermuda on Celebrity Eclipse. First time I am back on a big ship in 7 years!
  9. Que, sorry for your loss. I have some sad news myself.....my brother-in-law died last week. It was quite a shock to my sister (and to me). Still processing the news. It was unexpected. He was actually at the Dr's office for something else and had a heart attack☹️
