  1. Disembarkation info - it wasn’t difficult with the time change overnight self assist was scheduled to start at 7:30 from Eden. It started at 7:20; we were off the ship by 7:30; we are sitting at FLL Gate B2 at 8:15AM. Flight is scheduled to take off at 10:10AM. Have had early flight out of FLL too many times to count. It’s very doable. Thanks for following along. If you have a sailing on Celebrity Ascent, I’m sure you will enjoy it.
  2. Lots of changes (mostly cutbacks) post-COVID. 🙁
  3. I did not during the Elite HH. We always sat in the row of chairs between the 5th floor entrance and the bar area. I did see some waiters walking around with trays of the assorted pre-made cocktails.
  4. No hor d’oeuvres served on Day 6 between 5:00 and 5:30 in Eden.
  5. To give you an idea, this is the Day 6 menu. I should have posted these daily.
  6. @NJCruisers @RK-NC Thank you. Yes, we have enjoyed sailing on Ascent. I spoke with a passenger who is staying in one of those infinity balconies. I had some of the same concerns as you. She told me that the room is small enough that the A/C cools it quickly. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I like “to hang meat” temps in my room especially in hot weather climates. We had only pre-arranged early seating time. We wanted to be in the same room with the same wait staff at the same table for the duration of our cruise. On embarkation day, we met with the dining room hostess located on Deck 3 near Guest Services. She took care of our request, no problems. Because we had an assigned table, we were able to “skip” the line entering the restaurant every evening. Exclusives are available everyday. Regardless of which dining room you are assigned, you are able to order exclusives available in any of the four. During our cruise, I have enjoyed exclusive dishes from the Cosmopolitan and Cyprus dining rooms while dining in Tuscan. The other menu items available in each restaurant will change daily, however, you will see some everyday items there as well - ceasar salad, escargot, French onion soup, shrimp cocktail, steak, salmon, etc. The menus were loaded on the app about a week or so out from my sailing. I’m sure you will get the hang of it once onboard but do visit with the dining room hostess on embarkation day to make sure you’re all set.
  7. Well, on Day 2 no one walked around where I was sitting in Eden with appetizers for sure. My dining time is early seating, so about 5:30, I’m gone. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yes, on the brothers co-Captains - Captain Tasos is at the helm this week. He is a hoot! Such a wonderful sense of humor. Glad to have him!
  8. Can you please tell me where in Eden they were set up? I missed them completely on Day 2 and I don’t want to miss them on Day 6. However, if they are anything like Royal’s spread, well………
  9. Not on day 2; day 6 is tomorrow. If I see any tomorrow, I’ll report back.
  10. I forgot to post this earlier. I asked our cabin attendant how & why this simple yet beautiful arrangement got here. He said he brought it & it’s because of our Elite status. It’s a very nice touch.
  11. Is it time to visit the topic - Captain’s Club and the Captain’s Club Happy Hour? DH & I are D+ (400 points) so in matching our Royal status, we are Elite with Celebrity. Happy Hour runs from 5PM-7PM except for embarkation day; starts on Day 2 and on this 7- day cruise, on Days 2 & 6 Happy Hour for Elite & above will occur in an (designated) Elite Cocktail Lounge. On this sailing, the designated lounge was Eden. Since dinner runs from 5:30-8:00, time to mingle & talk cruising with other members is extremely limited. Happy Hour also occurs at many of the bars but there are some exceptions. There is also a cocktail hour menu which identifies the spirits, cocktails and wines, etc. that are offered. Bailey’s Irish Cream is not one of them. We decided to attend Happy Hour in Eden everyday. We met a very nice couple from Florida (I know - shocker!) We enjoyed exchanging cruising experiences and since they cruise often on Celebrity, we learned a few things, like lunch is served in the Eden Café. Originally we didn’t know there was a café behind the curtains. Since DH & I are both Elite, we were able to score 2 bags of complimentary laundry! Since this is the 2nd leg of our S2S that certainly came in handy! Only 1 per stateroom on Royal and limited in garments to send. On Celebrity, whatever fits in the bag is good! Thank you Celebrity! Several other events are offered, however you must RSVP with the Captain’s Club Concierge Team located on Deck 3 midship across the area from Guest Services. For a complete list of the benefits available, see pics below and also a pic of the Cocktail Menu.
  12. I took these pics at 8:30AM day 5 sea day. There are only 2 people in the pool as DH & I walk our mile. Where did everyone gooooooo?
