Take Uber. Depending on the amount of luggage you have, an Uber X will run about $28. The $50 fare sounds high, but if they did the trip during rush hour, then they sat in a lot of traffic.

Starting my live from today as tomorrow we are heading over to Fort Lauderdale to stay at The Hotel Maren on Fort Lauderdale Beach again to start off our vacation. Hey, why not start a day early?! So looking forward to being back at sea and on a ship that I haven't sailed on before. I'm sure I will love the Enchanted as much as I did the Sky, especially since Crooners is on this ship. Hopefully I will be doing my live report Sunday from the Sanctuary, which many know is one of my favorite places on a ship. Also really looking forward to a few dinners at The Catch by Rudi.

I couldn't get them to show us anything on the Sky. Every time I asked, she kept putting me off.

On my December Sky sailing, people were frustrated on line the first day because many of the reservations were already taken. It could be because there was a large group on board and they were taking over some areas of the restaurant but I went to change a reservation upon boarding and couldn't change the time or date of it at all and I went the first afternoon.

We have had this happen a few times. We simply drop our luggage off at the Pier we are embarking at (you're Pier 18) drive to the pier we are disembarking from (you're Pier 25) and park the car. Then we order an uber back to the embarkation pier. Works very well for us.

I'm glad we had it for as long as we did!

At one point, the area where Princess Cay is was also an "unspoiled treasure" as well. Many of the residents are thrilled about this as it will create a lot of jobs and bring revenue to the island as the island's economy is depressed for lack of better term according to friends who live in the Bahamas and spend time there.

Sounds like it was the perfect cruise! What an awesome review and it makes me more excited to be leaving on Saturday on the Enchanted. I have 2 reservations for The Catch and am excited to be back there and to try out O'malley's pub. I'm a sucker for an Irish Pub and spend quite a bit of time at one here in town.

I only mentioned that the Doubletree was a Hilton property as the OP was looking for Marriot properties only. You are right, that is Casablanca on the Bay. They have a great happy hour.
