Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. The Tahitian treasure cruise on the Solstice stops in French Polynesia. It goes from Honolulu to Sydney with three stops in French Polynesia and two stops in New Zealand. We enjoyed French Polynesia but I don’t think we’d go back. The onboard activities featuring the Polynesian culture were wonderful. They had crafts, music and dancing. That was great. They had Polynesian ambassadors that did the activities. Overall it was a great cruise.
  2. We did The Chefs Table on The Beyond in October. There were only 4 of us, but it was held in a separate room in Le Voyage. I think it was a table for at least 8 people.
  3. I book a veranda cabin with no drink package and bid on a suite class cabin. If I get the moveup accepted will the drinks be included with the new cabin?
  4. We have several Celebrity cruises booked out to spring of 2024. Every time I see a sale, I check the current prices for my current bookings. They are always more expensive now. Sometimes they are almost twice as much now. When I look beyond spring of 2024, I see lots of cruises very high priced. Has inflation got to the cruise industry too? Will I still be able to afford Celebrity in the future? I hope so. Anyone else notice this?
  5. I have never heard of waitlisting. Does one have call to do this?
  6. We are wondering about the ability to rebook a cruise once onboard. New 2024/2025 Caribbean cruises are released in December. We already have a cruise booked for the end of January 2023. If we pick out a cruise and cabin for 2024/2025 beforehand and book it, can we cancel and rebook onboard to get the onboard perks? In other words, can we hold a specific cabin then cancel and rebook the same cabin once onboard? Has anybody ever done this?
  7. We made reservations for the Beyond last year for a very good deal. I have now submitted two moveup bids. Does it make any difference that we paid less for our initial rooms? Do they pick people who have paid more recently when they booked? Does initial price have anything to do with it?
  8. We will be sailing on Oct 2 out of Boston to Maine and Canada on The Voyager of the Seas. With the recent changes to the Canadian Arrive can policy is testing still needed? Will we need to test to cruise to Canada on Oct 2nd? Thank you.
