  1. San Juan is one hour ahead of East Coast time, so keep that in mind. Embarkation starts at 11:00 and the sail away is at 8:00. Another poster mentioned that the port is close to the airport and that is true. There are plenty of taxis in San Juan. The only delay we experienced was at the TSA station in the San Juan airport. Slow as molasses in winter.
  2. We just got off Viva and the ship is beautiful. The cabins and bathrooms are fantastic. I can highly recommend the Indulge food hall. Hudson's MDR was very good. If you have specialty dining I recommend you make your reservation as soon as possible. The Hasuki venue was great. We never had a problem with seating at the buffet. The observation deck on 17 is a great place to relax. Some of the hours of operation of the eateries were less than optimal in my opinion. The excursions were numerous and a lot of fun. Have fun
  3. Bottled water is available on board and it is the "Flow" brand that has no plastic. Go to www.flowhydration.com for more information. You can buy a case and that will last all cruise. There is fancy bottled water in the mini 'frig but I thought it was really expensive and came in glass bottles. The water from the faucets is just fine. Book your specialty dining as soon as you are able as they fill up quickly. Hasuki 2 thumbs up. Cagney's was meh.
  4. We just got off Viva and the hair dryer is located in the cabin by the desk/mirror.
  5. Just off Viva and the doors are NOT magnetic. Some walls in cabin are magnetic. Like another poster mentioned, the doors are well marked for identification
  6. 111 more days to sail on Viva. It will be the newest ship we have ever sailed on.
  7. This looks like a great service. Alas , Carnival does NOT participate in it.
  8. Thanks. You just made me and my group very happy with this news. There are 3 of us getting knee replacements this fall and the two flights of stairs was worrisome.
  9. A question. is "Taking the bus" the same as the Seattle Express.? The two flights of stairs will be a challenge. Thank in advance. Headed to Seattle this July and pier 91
  10. We went to Stonehenge this summer and John Bull's reply is spot on. When Going to England, Stonehenge is a must in my opinion
