  1. Dean is fantastic, I hope he has a long career with Regent.
  2. Who is Andrew? Which ship was his last contract? Is he new to Regent?
  3. One GV they told us ahead of time; last year, and again for this year, nothing announced in advance. I wouldn't sweat it; you can always cancel your excursion to go on exclusive event. Are you on Auckland to Athens on Voyager? If so, I haven't seen excursions yet. Marc
  4. Interesting development but I wonder which ships are being rerouted? Regent doesn't have any ships going through Red Sea this fall; so all three have to be Oceania and/or NCL. edited to add: found out that the three cruises are all on NCL Sky.
  5. So I have heard. One change I would like to see is to move pool bar to pool deck port side forward; where ping pong table and storage locker are located. Mariner so much larger than Voyager so shouldn't be a problem with Pacific Rim. Grandeur has a number of problems but the pool deck is absolutely fantastic with plenty of space especially shade and stage.
  6. Yes, this Aggie really likes self service buffet; and, no, in over 700 days of cruising I have never come down with norovirus (or covid) onboard.
  7. Wellington is my favorite city in New Zealand; well, outside of Queenstown. Have a great day!
  8. I just saw this news item from yesterday: (Reuters) - Royal Caribbean Group on Wednesday raised its annual profit forecast as the company benefits from strong cruise demand during the key 'wave season' and robust on-board spending. The company's shares rose 6% in extended trade after it also said that all four quarters and key products were booked ahead of the year-ago timeline for 2024. "Bookings have been significantly higher than during the same period last year, with the back half of the year up by more than the front half," the company said. The wave season is a crucial period between January and March when cruise operators offer special deals and discounts for the year. Royal Caribbean now expects 2024 adjusted earnings per share to be between $9.90 and $10.10, compared with $9.50 to $9.70per share the company forecast on Feb. 1. Analysts on average were expecting a full-year profit per share of $9.77, as per LSEG data.
  9. I just noticed a new nine day cruise on Navigator Barcelona to Monte Carlo after its trip around Africa. Still waitlisted but the listed prices are extremely high. Cruise only window only starting at $5,999 per person. With air $12,899 per person. These are astronomical fares even under normal circumstances and I don't know how they are going to fill a ship with just three months until sailing.
  10. It might be a post dry dock "bidders" familiarization tour with full Grand Voyagers remaining on board for "color."
