  1. Transfers to port will not be free. There will be a per person charge. It will cost less to take Uber or a taxi.
  2. Book airfare yourself on the airline website. FBC prices are always higher.
  3. I already did that but thanks anyway.
  4. Has anyone stayed here lately and has an opinion of it, or the Marriott next-door, or Aloft, or Crowne Plaza by the airport? Looking at these for a pre-cruise stay. Thanks.
  5. I wondered about this myself. My son and daughter-in-law will be on a cruise for their honeymoon which was noted on their reservation, but I wondered if there would be anything special done for them?
  6. Assuming you will be flying into Orlando a nice place to stay is the Hyatt, it’s right in the Orlando airport just upstairs from the baggage claim area. Take one of the area shuttles to pick you up at the hotel when you’re ready to go to Port Canaveral for your cruise. We used Cortrans.
  7. No free shuttle. We used Cortrans shuttle service to get back-and-forth between Orlando airport and Port Canaveral.
  8. What is the name of the beach with the blue umbrellas?
  9. Taxi or Uber will probably cost less than the per person charge for the shuttle. Plus if you book the shuttle, they have a specific time to get picked up but I prefer to go whenever I’m ready and the shuttle is filled with other people stopping at different terminals.
  10. Is there anyone who has any update on this since the last post a year ago? This is in regard to the bars on the ships closing while in Grand Cayman or any other port for that matter. Thanks.
  11. I’ve been there twice and both times the water was chest deep. But you don’t have to know how to swim unless you’re going to be totally terrified of the water.
  12. The distance between Orlando and Tampa is about 90 miles. I would imagine using Uber would cost you a fortune not to mention having to leave Orlando very early to get to your ship on time. I would be worried about car trouble or heavy traffic, or whatever and not making it to Tampa for the cruise. I don’t know how much renting a car would be, but it seems like it would be the same problem. Also then you have to get from Tampa back to Orlando in time for your flight after the cruise. I’d be a nervous wreck. If it were me, I’d fly in and out of Tampa, your cruise isn’t until December so airline prices may drop.
  13. The sofa beds are never as comfortable as a real bed in my opinion. Would be ok for kids but for us seniors not so much.
  14. Sofa beds are never comfortable and the very thought of 4 in one cabin would make me stay home.
  15. Has anyone stayed recently at the Home2 suites by the airport/cruise port?
