Thanks for mentioning the lido loungers. Apparently it is still mostly tables like the ship tours I’ve seen. It seems odd to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

About 30 days out I got my second upsell offer (forwarded by TA). I’m in a partially obstructed OV on Zuiderdam for a the May 11 TA. The offer was $149 pp to move to best available OV. We passed. I like the bigger windows of the obstructed OV and our location. I thought of calling and asking about a V but decided to hold off for now.

I really enjoy your blog! I have noticed on recent Zuiderdam ship tours that there are lots and lots of tables and not a lot of loungers around the lido pool. Does this seem to be problematic? Will they put out more loungers on request?

I’m loving the pictures. How late is the Crows Nest Bar open and what is the atmosphere there at night? It doesn’t seem like any activities are planned there at night

I would prefer it in the daytime as well. We will see what our captain decides. If it is overnight I probably won’t make MDR breakfast. But that’s ok. That makes me curious. @Ileneilene123 It sounds like HIA isn’t worth it for you and your reasoning makes a lot of sense for you. Most of my cruises over the years have been more than fine without having a package. We’ve never outright bought a package like HIA on other cruise lines we have been on. Twice packages have been included in some sort of great promo and we liked having it, but normally it wouldn’t make sense for our budget.
