  1. Yes but it didn’t receive an upgrade, I bid on RoyalUp which you pay for. So I agree if your happy with your cabin mark no upgrade, but in future We would use RoyalUp as they admitted this was a fault and resolved it. So it hasn’t put us off
  2. Heya all, so RoyalUp called today and admitted this was a mistake and should never of happened. The cabin we bid on was sold out and they automatically assumed we wanted a balcony. So they have refunded us, moved us back to our original room and a gesture of goodwill added to our OB account. Thank you to all the helpful people who suggested ideas we ended up getting through Twitter to them.

  4. I have just read the terms and conditions and it doesn’t say anywhere about assigning another category. It states if the bid is accepted you will get the cabin you have bided for.
  5. So in our email we was told we won the bid for a Ultra spacious ocean view, not a balcony that’s what I’m asking has anyone had this before
  6. We’ve had balcony’s before. The point I’m making is if I wanted a balcony I would of bid on one, and when I booked it was the same price as the room I booked. I’m not asking if I’m lucky to have a balcony, I’m asking if anyone has experienced this before, I’m annoyed that I haven’t received the room I bid for so won’t consider myself lucky. Has anyone with any experience got anything to say ?
  7. So we are cruising on Wonder in 2 days time. We originally had a Central Park view interior, got a RoyalUp invitation so bid on a Ultra Spacious Ocean View, received an email today saying we had won the bid and got the room. When I’ve logged in we have been given a Balcony room, called royal who confirmed this and said they cannot assist as it was done by RoyalUp. Has anyone had an experience like this before? We purposely didn’t book a balcony due to travelling with a toddler and not wanting the risk. Is it likely when we get to the dock they will have the correct room? I have emailed RoyalUp but being a Friday two days before our cruise I doubt I will get a reply.

  9. Good morning cruisers, It’s been a few years since we cruised Royal and last time had the deluxe package included. Now we have kids so won’t be drinking anywhere near enough to justify the Deluxe package so are looking at getting the Classic Soda Package but have one question. with the soda package you obviously get the freestyle refillable cups to use at the machines but can I order a soda at a bar with the package or at dinner rather then always having to use the machines and get it in a normal glass? tia
