  1. That is awesome they are offered in the evening as well. This looks like a great schedule of a variety of levels and classes. Thank you for sharing.
  2. We enjoy the towns at night. We usually cruise 10-14 days as we are still working and taking more than 2 weeks off can be a return to work nightmare. Maybe one day we will change how we travel, right now it works for us. Back to the OP, I think it matters what you want to spend the extra money on. Very personal preference.
  3. We are not breakfast people so we grab a coffee and something little to hold us over until a late lunch. IC is going to be perfect for us. We always have a big lunch off the ship in port. A small late dinner in the MDR if we leave earlier or grab a dinner in port if not. We mainly use the ship as a floating hotel. Which is why we fell in love with river cruising. Docking right in the middle of old town in many cities was perfect for exploring the area restaurants and pubs. This is just how we have enjoyed traveling since empty nesting.
  4. It seems like the main difference is the dining experience. We tend to eat many meals outside the ship so we did not opt for the reserve but some in our family did. It will be interesting to see the difference first hand. My cruise is very port heavy which could make a difference.
  5. If they are going to make new rules and strictly enforcing them, then how about enforcing the old rules, such as chair hogs, and dress codes.
  6. @Titanfan22 please report back as I have the premier and plan to take many of the classes offered. I would love to know the class size, how soon you signed up and what was offered. I go early June.
  7. I must be too far out to see them yet. I can only see dining and excursions in the Journey tab. I will keep watching for them.
  8. Where did you find a list of the classes being offered? Yoga is not that difficult for beginners as a good yoga instructor will give a variety of levels with each stretch. You can only do what you can do. Balance may be the hardest part as even if I take a couple months off, it takes me a couple of months to get my balance 100% again. But it is great for stretching and balancing.
  9. The hotel has always stored them and we always stay within walking distance to a lot of restaurants. In FLL, we are eating at El Camino across the street. Love that place. Then go back to the hotel, pick up our bags and call uber, taxi, etc. We have never used a cruise transfer so not sure about their timing. We should get to the port around 1230. We should already have the medallions so the line should be moving. That’s the plan anyway.
  10. Agree with those that don’t rush to board as sitting in a holding room is not my idea of starting a vacation. My plan on our cruise from PE, is to have lunch at 11a,(staying on Los Olas) then take Uber to port after. We will do everything needed when we get on board, (list of what and where on my phone) muster, excursion desk to make some changes, get on wifi, correct some dining app issues, grab a couple of bottles of water and a drink. Then cabin should be ready and hopefully bags also. Unpack and organize cabin. Get the balcony doors between cabins opened. Vacation now officially starts! Go up on a higher deck to watch sailaway with a glass of champagne and starting to meet our fellow passengers. We are traveling with DH sister and BIL that has never taken a cruise or anything like it vacation. It will be interesting to get their perspective on everything.
  11. And if I may add, it is easy to change (if times are available) as it gets closer and you have a better idea what is happening. I booked in January( and soon made dinner reservations)for a June cruise, and even today made a couple of changes to our dining times and venues. So far a lot of times are still available but full payment was just required 10 days ago.
  12. 😬. I will stay away from 5day.
  13. I am looking now at all the options. I am sure we will be glad we made this decision. I was not looking forward to a week of to-do’s since we are off.
  14. @karatemom2 Thank you. You have helped me make the decision. My dh said it was up to me what we will do and I think a getaway cruise is the answer.
  15. Thank you. And we always sail in the summer so families aren’t a negative, but this year both DD are spending Thanksgiving with in-laws so we thought it would be a great time to getaway. More was wondering for social reasons as families usually stick together and we are very social passengers. Plus the first Thanksgiving without the grandkids so a little melancholy. Just trying to put together options before Thanksgiving airfare prices start showing. Thank you again for the information.
