Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. The trouble is that like I wrote I haven'y a clue which site you mean.
  2. We are thinking of cruising with P&O for the first time (on the Iona) having cruised with other companies. we are also thinking of a seaview cabin but as far as "That well known social media group for Iona has a list of those that do and dont" I haven't a clue what people mean, maybe because I'm not British? Anyway I wanted to ask about cabins 4447 4431 4429 4477 if someone happens to know whether these have window seats? Also, we are cruising as a couple and I wanted to know if to avoid those cabins that have an option of 4 beds? Or maybe there is no difference between the various seaview cabins?
  3. Thanks for your replies. I certainly don't have a fear of children just want a quieter cruise now that my own are grown up 🙂. In addition as people wrote here, the ship usually has more people on as some cabins have 3 or 4 in them when there are families with children.
  4. I wanted to ask about school holidays. We are thinking of taking the cruise to the Canaries on Feb 18, 2023 for 14 days from Southampton. I saw that it's a half term holiday for some schools in Britain. From your experience do you think there will be many children on board as I understand the holiday is just one week?
  5. You're right my mistake, 3 days at sea. I acually love days at sea, it's just the ocean at that time of year that worries me a little.
  6. We are thinking of taking a Canary Islands cruise from Southampton in February. There are 2 days at sea getting there and back. Does anyody know what the sea is like at that time of the year? My husband is a little prone to seasickness.
  7. Do you mean other cruise companies or other travel agents? Because we've cruised out of Southampton to Norway for instance with Norwegian cruise line . But this time we would like to try cruising with P&O Iona.
  8. I can just get to the stage where it gives details and basic prices for the cabins and then it gives an Israeli number to call which is supposedly a travel agent but is a disconnected number. It also says that you can get PDF brochures only for British citizens (google knows where you are 🙂) I tried mailing P&O twice to get a valid phone number but never received an answer. I do now have an offer from an American travel agent but it's more expensive than various British website offers which also sell only to British. I'm still shopping around.
  9. Thanks for all the replies.
  10. Are you sure I need to get that from the NHS? We've been to Europe a few times this year and we have proof of vaccination in English which is accepted in all European countries by agreement with Israel. Is it different in Britain? As for travel insurance, what special requirements does P&O have?
  11. How do I find the "booking P&O" thread or any thread for that matter?
  12. From all the replies it sounds as if the shore excursions on P&O are less expensive than on American ships.
  13. I'm sure that there are people from other countries on board P&O. I just wondered if I have to find a way to book the cruise outside Britain or if there are travel agents in Britain who would sell to other countries. I've tried to ask P&O but they haven't answered yet. I'll try again.
  14. I'm actually from Israel. Some cruise companies (like Princess) give exclusivity to local travel agents so maybe that is the case here. They actually give an Israeli phone number in their website, supposedly a travel agent but that number is disconnected. I emailed P&O to ask but they haven't answered me. I sometime book a cruise with an American TA so I'll try there. Just thought maybe British travel agents do sell P&O cruises on their websites to "foreigners" 🙂 but it seems that's not the case.
