Hi Everyone - we're getting ready for our North Cape and Midnight Sun cruise departing Copenhagen on May 18. Does anyone have experience with sending bags ahead using Luggage Forward? Our last cruise was to Antarctica this past November (on Ponant) and my bags didn't make it. 😢 We usually try to travel with carry-on only, but that's impractical for Antarctica. Since I was so limited in my outfits on the last cruise, I'm looking forward to dressing up a bit on this cruise and want to bring more variety. I'm thinking sending ahead one large suitcase (with clothing and toiletries for both of us) and bringing two carry-on roller bags might be the way to go. It's $459 to ship from Eagle, ID to Copenhagen, which is a bit of sticker shock, but it would be worth every penny to avoid what happened on our last cruise. Thoughts????

It just allowed me to book a May 2024 cruise with $1 just now (even though I saw earlier that it doesn't start until tomorrow).

That's a good question. With all the reviews I'm reading about the long wait times or lack of delivery altogether, I am a bit nervous about relying on that. Hopefully they will have a lot of that resolved before we board.

Thank you arizonaperson! We will definitely have some wine. 😁 I don't usually bother with bringing wine aboard, but this might be a good opportunity to do so since I've been reading about service is backed up at the bars.

My husband and I, along with two other couples, will be sailing the Enchanted Princess on November 5 departing from New York. We have an aft corner suite and I'd like to host a sail-away party for our group since we've read we should be able to see the Statue of Liberty. Does anyone have ideas or experience with getting food (appetizers) and drinks for this? Is room service available on embarkation day? Or would they have anything special available if I called customer service?
