I'm not sure if the new AARP/HAL booking incentive has affected the HAL' Gift Card purchases. I could not purchase Holland America Gift Cards this month. But I received a small booked cruise OBC.

The issue may be with HAL's provider, not with HAL.

My Big Box TA was just told by HAL rep that is takes 72 hours after your AARP membership is confirmed by HAL's provider, to populate onto your HAL Mariner number. Per HAL/AARP 'Terms and Conditions', the OBC is "per stateroom for guests booked". HAL advised to request credit for one booking at a time.

Thanks, Clay Clayton, for your reply. Some CC comments are not favorable regarding the "combo" washer/dryers on some VO ships. Does the Viking Saturn have combo washer/dryers or separate washer and dryer?

Can anyone provide information on Viking Saturn laundry facilities and/or service? We are sailing from Bergen to New York, after your cruise. Thanks, DW is concerned.

AARP Gift Card Purchase completed today. Thanks for the helpful suggestions.

I just noticed that AARP "History" is unavailable due to maintenance. Maybe that's the issue. My credit card company verified that there have been no declined transactions.

I didn't make a copy, but it said that transaction didn't process and to call 1-866-451-6305. Customer service is on East Coast. I'm in California. I may call Monday, or just forget it. My Preferred Savings Account with my bank pays 4.76% monthly which is more than the one time AARP savings if cards are purchased 3 or more months in advance. Then there is the 3% my Big Box credit card gives me, plus another 2% CC "Rewards". So much math!

Just tried to buy AARP gift cards for HAL. No go. Phone number on east coast, CLOSED! Not too impressed with AARP!
