Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We just booked with them. We opted for them to convert to US. It came to an extra $29 for the tour for 2 people. Not sure if we would have made out better with the other option. The conversion was $1.09 for US equal to their dollar.
  2. We will be arriving in September on the Oasis from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will be our first time in Europe. We are looking to see the most we can in the time we have. We are from New Jersey (shore area), so wouldn't mind hitting the beach in the morning, lunch, and then seeing some sight seeing. We really don't know where to start. If we don't have beach time, that's fine as well. We are in our early 50's. We are always go, go, go when we cruise. We don't plan on returning to the ship until sail away time as we want to make the most of our visit. Any suggestions, this is so overwhelming!
  3. Looking for feedback on this. $87 pp. I booked it as it got raving reviews, but can always cancel for our October Oasis cruse.
  4. So..which beach is best...Cable Beach, Cabbage Beach or Junkanoo Beach? I think we went to Junkanoo Beach years ago, it was a local beach. Just looking to relax a bit and a beautiful beach. Please tell me how to get there too and if they have chairs/umbrellas to rent (cost would be great as well). Thank you.
  5. We were there last year on our way to the beach but we got rained out, so not worth it for the $200 pass. We have walked around Atlantis many years ago, but last year they had guards at all the exit doors leading to the outside beach area. They ask for your room key. I simply wanted to check out the view, with no luck. The shopping area right next to it is kinda small in my opinion. If you have never been there at all before I guess it is something to do, otherwise, I would pass. We took the boat shuttle and then had to walk to Atlantis which wasn't the safests (as it lots of traffic). You can get it when you get out of the port and make a right, although there was lots of construction on the new pier last year.
  6. We were there last year and lunch was included in our excursion so we had a "ticket". I believe you can purchase the same lunch (not sure if it is an actual buffet) without an excursion. For what it was, the food was good for us.
  7. Having been to Nassau several times, we are now looking at this excursion, Funky Nassau Jeep Adventure. We saw it (the Jeep) last time we were there in March and teh Jeep looked cool. It's 3 hours at $149 per person. Although I love Jeeps, trying to justify if it is worth $300 for my bf and I for 3 hours or if we should just do a beach or stay on the ship and take advantage of our drink package...lol Any feedback on this excursion? Or maybe there is a private tour company I can use, although hesitant about that idea unless very reputable.
