Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Are there any loungers on the Promenade deck?
  2. Usually one "side" of the ship is reserved for smokers. As someone previously posted, there is a cigar bar that you might get some residual smoke when someone enters/leaves; but usually smoking areas are reserved for the outdoor areas on one specific side of the ship by the pool and the Promenade or lifeboat deck. So if smoking is allowed on the port side for example, it will be on the port side by the pool and Promenade deck. Believe me, you'll know it when you walk by and know to avoid it throughout the cruise. 🙂 Hope this helps.
  3. Thank you both so much for your response, this is a little sad to read. 😢
  4. Good day everyone. Can anyone share with me if there are lounge chairs on the Promenade (lifeboat) deck on the Jade? If so, about how many? This is my favorite spot on any ship and I have seen some ships with barely any loungers, and just recently got off a ship that had plenty. I had heard the Coast Guard was limiting the chairs for safety reasons which makes perfect sense. Thanks All!
  5. Good day, going in late January 2024, for the on/off trolley excursions, how does the ship excursion manage this? Just give you your tickets and off you go, or is there a designated trolley at the ship and it starts from there? Purchasing directly from the trolley company is significantly cheaper. I have taken this is popular cities and sometimes the trolley's are so full 3 trolleys will go be before you can get on one, I imagine with a ship in town, this could potentially happen. Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks! Chrissy
  6. Terminal 10 has both a parking garage and surface parking. Most folks prefer the garage as it is covered and protects your vehicle from the sun, if the garage is full, there is plenty of surface parking available. All are within walking distance to the terminal, either across the street from the terminal, or just beside it. On other posts I have read, people mention if you get there by 10 or 11 it is never a problem finding a spot in the garage. Capt_BJ mentioned they are building "another parking garage" so one currently exists, and a 2nd one is in the plans which would most likely go where one of the surface lots currently exist. Hope this helps.
  7. Yes, read above responses, it's all right there. Capt_BJ did a wonderful job explaining it.
  8. Terrific information; thank you very much. Hope you had a wonderful cruise! ❤️
  9. Good day all. Does anyone have experience with Terminal 5? Do you pay as you enter the lot? Thanks in advance!
  10. Unofficial it was... When I scanned the barcode, it looked like we were assigned a nice balcony, alas, not to be so... interior room it is... but on the other hand, I sleep like a baby in interior rooms! Lol.
  11. We wound up staying in the same room, while there was some noise from the Bliss lounge it sounded distant and muffled. It did not keep us awake at night, I am generally a light sleeper, and was able to fall asleep within a reasonable time. Yes you could hear it, no, it didn't bother us, we realized there was a chance we were going to hear noise, and this is the chance you take with a Gty room. It was ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to select this room, but my gf and I are of the mindset, if the room is on a ship, then we'll be fine. 🙂
  12. Yes, my gf and I have decided to do this tour. We will be going the end of Nov. I will try to remember to let you know what we thought. Do you have any questions or concerns for yourself?
  13. I found out myself through another resource, that the individual who responded felt the Cave portion of the tour, because of the uneven footing and the approximate 3/4 mile walk to the caves are what might deem this as "strenuous". They felt if you are in decent to average shape, you should be ok. We'll see...
