  1. On all the other ships, yes that is true, but not on the Joy. They removed those perks ONLY on the Joy. Don't ask me why but they did. When I first booked it I watched a travel agents promo for this suite on YouTube and it included many perks....then I Iearn here on Cruise Critic that they took most of them away about a year ago or so. Boo!
  2. Why not get a "non Haven" Penhouse that does not have any special perks that other cannot join you in. We booked a very nice SC Penthouse on the Joy...it's not Haven. We don't have to choose what to do with my son and his girlfriend who will be in a balcony because they can do what we can do and go to the same places. You still have a nice cabin just no Haven perks.
  3. So they are now getting away with not giving us a "free show" to replace the one they took away and giving us another thing to pay for that holds little to no entertainment value if you don't buy into it....and in the end having you walk out saying to yourself "why did I do this?" LOL I did go to the Price is Right on the Prima and the Deal or No Deal....it passed the time and I spent some money but I would have rather watched a good show instead. I think the cruise lines are making up for lost money during Covid.
  4. If there is a private room that is vented for smokers....how does that impact YOU??? Why is it so important for there to be "no smoking" at all??? Please tell, I'll wait!
  5. And there's this deck plan that was posted as well.
  6. I think it was added during dry dock.....someone posted a picture of it.
  7. I just saw a post on FB that there is NO more smoking area in Spice H20 on Joy. Anyone know if this is true? My son's girlfriend smokes and wants to know where she can do it. They said that this is a new recent rule. They did mention that there is an enclosed area by the pool for smoking. One would think they'd at least have ONE "open air" spot for smokers.
  8. We stayed right next to them...no noise at all. Very convenient too.
  9. THe At&T $50 at sea package is good for "just at sea", not in port. The "International package" for $10 per day is for "in port only". So if you want continuous connection to the outside world you need "both" packages. I did this last May on Prima and it worked out well.
  10. $49....I'll pass and live without cookies. Maybe I will pack a few of my homemades
  11. I personally think this has nothing to do with food plates being left........this decision is clearly about saving money. Oh and wasn't that buffet part of the OL that was removed during dry dock to make way for cabins? Could that be the reason. All that being said, they could at least have a coffee and beverage station maybe with muffins and danish for afternoon snacking. I bet the removal of food will make for lots of available seating now.
  12. Yes, we do have the smell blocking bags. I'd never put them in trash without one. I will ask our room steward. They must have a protocol for this issue.
  13. Hmm....not sure I'd be comfortable doing that. But thanks anyway!
  14. My disabled brother has to wear adult pull ups due to slight urinary incontinence issues. We have small plastic bags to put individual changes in but not sure how to dispose of the plastic bags. Considering it is human waste (urine not feces), I don't know if it would go into the general trash or would it be separated? Will they give us a specal trash container for it? How do people dispose of their babies diapers?
