Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Been on Radiance twice and never seen one
  2. thanks for all the comments have booked the main ones whale watching in icy point with "Icy Strait Whale Adventures" and Kenai Tour with "Major Marine" can't wait 😀
  3. thanks we are doing a B2B Seward to Vancouver so your suggestion is a possibility
  4. thanks for the info did you use the cruise companies tour or independently
  5. We are doing a northbound cruise from Vancouver to Seward in September , it seems all places we stop offer whale watching as we will only be doing it once any ideas which port would be best , (i understand not guaranteed to see any) 1.Juneau 2.icy strait point 3.sitka 4.skagway 5.seward Cheers from the UK
  6. Doing this B2B next year on Radiance and cant wait 😀
  7. Hi has anyone stayed in Cabin 9002 on Radiance , i have no problem being that far forward or issues with motion sickness , was wondering about balcony and any obstruction from Bridge or noise issues etc. Thanks
  8. I am on anthem now deck 11 connecting cabin have not noticed any difference in noise levels from a normal cabin, the connecting door is by main door. It all depends on your neighbours 😏, a towel at bottom of door can help if you have noise issues or your steward can tape door also if you take magnetic hooks put them on door and hang hoodies or coat to help dampen sound
  9. Where there a few weeks ago and there where a few security people some where royal Caribbean staff , just be polite when saying no if you are not interested. If you go to Dubai and head over to the gold or spice market the sellers there came across rude and pushy.!!
  10. Just come off vision and it is starlink , worked everywhere I went in ship speeds ranged from 3mbps to 30mbps , was able to stream at all times a great improvement on previous ships that did not have it
  11. Santorini is a tender port , the tenders got to a different area to drop you off ( they are run by a local company so very efficient) you then get the bus from there, when you return you will be at the top where the cable car is ( which if you have a RC tour they will provide you with a ticket one way only) Or you could walk down its not to bad but very smelly due to Donkey crap everywhere . If you are looking for a good restaurant on the harbour try Lombranos , i booked a table using facebook messenger the morning we arrived it was great https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g189433-d12498845-Reviews-Lombranos-Santorini_Cyclades_South_Aegean.html
  12. I agree but not sure where you read that as per there own website it says "7. What is the situation with cruise ships? "As of 14.05.2021, cruise restrictions have been completely removed " https://travel.gov.gr/#/
  13. Makes no sense why we need to test as per there own government website, unless I am missing something 😀 "Welcome to Greece! From 15 March 2022 onwards, travellers visiting Greece are no longer required to fill out the Passenger Locator Form (PLF). Additionally, as of Sunday 01.05.2022 and for as long as the epidemiological data allow so, all travellers arriving in Greece, regardless of their country of origin, are no longer required to display a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or evidence of a negative test result from SARS-CoV-2 infection (PCR or Rapid Antigen test)."
  14. Doing a cruise on the 19th September from Tarragona 9 night's , on the royal app it says we need a pre test but on the "getting ready to cruise" web page it states we don't. Testing Requirements All Guests: Required Pre-Cruise Testing All guests age 12 and older who are not vaccinated, or are vaccinated but not up to date, must show a negative result for an antigen test within 24 hours or a PCR test within 72 hours before boarding day Vaccinated guests who are up to date must show a negative result for a PCR or antigen test taken no more than 3 days before boarding day only on sailings 10N and longer. A test is not required on sailings of 9N or less for guests who are up to date with their vaccination. Guests age 11 and under do not need to complete a pre-cruise test. Required testing for all guests, regardless of vaccination status, can be completed using any type of PCR or antigen COVID-19 test. It can be professionally proctored at your doctor or drugstore, or it can be a test you administer to yourself at home without supervision. We are visiting Greece and disembark in Athens , but Greece has no restrictions anymore including for cruise ships according to the Greek Government Website. Anymore else embarking in Tarragona who might have an idea if we do or don't need a pre test, we are UK residents.
