  1. If it's any consolation that is the same amount we get in North America, unless you turned silver before Nov of 2013(I believe it was). They get the full amount.
  2. As Pinot pointed out when Simply More was rolled out, it's a price increase. Those that book excursions and have a beer or glass of wine do get a benefit out of it. It might be creating ill will for some, but perhaps the number crunchers see it as cutting out dead wood. You know, those folks with loyalty perks, booking cheapest rooms, have no on board spend, or what they do comes from free OBC. Oh wait, that's me half the time. LOL. 🤠 We all have choices to make, for the time being this seems to be the only game in town if you want to cruise Oceania.
  3. I personally would rather have an extra day in Charleston than either of the other two places.
  4. Nothing new, and something I'm pretty sure you were aware of. It's the way they do things. I'm not defending it, and I would prefer to have my room ready earlier, but it's the way it is. Good that you're finding a few things you like.
  5. I might be looking in the wrong place, but I can't seem to find the list of Select cruises that this applies to.
  6. I'm pretty sure that would be an incorrect assumption. It's probably like the drink package, you don't have to take it from day 1, but once you do it's through the end of the cruise. You might consider waiting until you're onboard and see if you are able to use the app without the upgrade. You never know.
  7. I don't think anyone is saying that. But, no, I have never seen a report of anyone with a guarantee on Oceania that didn't go on the cruise. Guarantee means just that, you're guaranteed a room. As already been explained, the difference from most other cruise lines is there is no price reduction for booking a guarantee. The only time might be when you are bumped up to a higher category. It does happen, but I wouldn't book a guarantee in one category thinking I'm going up.
  8. Gerry, focus. I think you know that a guarantee requires a deposit. Waitlist on the other hand.......optional, but you know that.
  9. I’ve had them given to me but never bought or sold them. But they don’t check names.
  10. Most other reports say $100 per excursion, regardless of original price. Of course Olife could only get an excursion up to $200.
  11. Oddly enough I just checked my offers and on my Hilton and my Everyday card I have an offer for British Airways, spend $1200 get $180 back. I usually don't see offers like this on my Hilton card. It wasn't on my Delta card though. LOL
  12. Shouldn't that say "wasn't"?
  13. I also got that survey. Unfortunately it didn't have a spot to put any comments or suggestions. They only want answers that will reflect the outcome of what they've already decided should happen. Many surveys are written this way.
  14. It's pretty rare for this type of offer to be on another travel card. I occasionally get Marriott offers on my Delta Amex. Most travel offers I get on my Amex Everyday. I don't have a Platinum or Everday with an annual fee. I have Hilton, Delta, Everyday, and Marriott that are Amex cards. I frequently get money back on things I would be buying anyway. I just keep track of what the offers are for the cards that I have. Best advice I can give is if you see something that you think you might use go ahead and add it to your card, as it might disappear.
