  1. I haven't booked a balcony guarantee on a ship with neighborhood balconies before, but I think we are going to roll the dice with Icon and save the $400. For those who book balcony guarantees on Oasis class ships, do you generally get the lowest cost neighborhood balcony (obstructed view if possible) or do you find yourself slotted randomly? The cheapest balcony cabins on Icon are deck 14 central park balconies (which we are fine with - downside is they are right under the pool deck which I've heard makes for noisy early mornings as crew drag lounge chairs back into place) but there really aren't that many of them in the grand scheme of things (under 50 total cabins), next up are surf side balconies which are much more plentiful and we are also fine with in theory (downside, may be loud at peak times since surf side seems like it will be a destination for active young kids), though there are several obstructed view cabins per deck and we don't really know what that means. As long as we can actively use the balcony and it's not reduced in size by a giant pastel surf board or palm tree or something, I don't think we care about an obstruction. I also remember reading that it's possible to switch your cabin once assigned to an open cabin of the same category? I imagine Icon will be sailing sold out, so probably not an option, but is this possible (switch from obstructed to non obstructed if available)?
  2. Our cabin service was such a negative on our last cruise. We had MyTime Dining and had the earliest reservation possible (6:45 or 7:00) and the steward would inevitably show up at 6:00 when we would be back in the cabin getting ready for dinner. We'd have to leave for the other cabin (family of four with two cabins) and then switch again when one cabin was done so he could do the other. It was so noticeable and frustrating, but we (1) weren't getting ready for dinner at 5:00pm to avoid it and (2) didn't want to pick morning due to wanting to sleep later on vacation. I think if we had early dining like we usually do, the 6:00 would have been right in the middle of dinner and all would have been just fine, but this go around was not good.
  3. That's true! Did they double the single supplement too?
  4. That's what I heard as well, but it can't be true unless there is another way to triple your points.
  5. Thanks. I just got off Harmony where they celebrated Super Mario earning his 11,000th C&A point, but it was posted here that he earned his 10,000th the week of August 2, 2022, so that's basically three points a night, so single in a suite makes sense.
  6. Is it possible to earn 3 C&A cruise points per night of sailing? Maybe as a single in a suite?
  7. Thinking about getting a Wow Band for an upcoming cruise. I have the soda package. The bar staff never even run the sea pass card - you just show them your card with the coca cola logo on the front and get your soda. Is there a way to designate a soda package with a Wow band? If the staff will have to "run" the wow band every time or if I have to show the sea pass anyway, I will rethink the wow band purchase. I do understand I still need the seapass to get on and off the ship regardless.
  8. I was reading on the St. Kitts tourism page that as of April 1, 2022 all travels must submit a rapid antigen test (not home test) within one day of arrival or a PCR test taken within 3 days. How does this work with cruise ships? St. Kitts is day 5 of our cruise. https://www.stkittstourism.kn/travel-requirements
  9. Have you used it before? I'm wondering how readily available appointments are. I'd like to wait until much closer to our cruise to book an appointment just in case (a) the price continues to drop and/or (b) the cruise industry stops requiring testing because they are non-refundable once purchased.
  10. Is an OnPoint Telehealth appointment - where you use your own antigen test and they send you results - acceptable for a cruise?
