Perhaps some day our paths will cross. (I just read another post where you referenced your NYC subways, for some reason I thought you were from Europe.) Next bookings are Carnival in September and MSC November.

I have always used the MSC Agent without any problems but have of course read the horror stories! Have not used a TA for years, but would enjoy that 10% discount, just sorry you cannot tell me the excellent person you work with.

I know many people use TAs when booking a MSC cruise, I have always used a MSC Agent without any difficulty. I do my research ahead of time, down to the cabin i want and price it should be, then call in. Did so two weeks ago again, had my price figured out, Agents do seem to come upon the price differently, but we were only a couple $s off so all good.

@SpainAlien agree with jimbo, after you get off first ship as late as you can and make it to second ship, it could be they are not even looking at check-in times, I would just go into line and go with the flow, and then “if” your check-in time is mentioned you can play the “side to side” card, have fun.

We have done a side by side, MSC to Carnival Celebration. We stayed on first ship as long as allowed then picked up luggage and out we went, (when checking in on-line earlier of course tried to get the earliest possible embarkation time on the Celebration), put new luggage tags on, walked to Celebration (was doable for us, just watch out for various vehicles moving around, some sidewalk is available), and were able to get checked in and wait in lounge area until boarding started. Worked great. The specialty restaurants that are complimentary for your first visit are, when open at lunch time, complimentary for unlimited visits. At dinnertime you do need to check in on App. Pig Anchor/Heroes Lounge also has a complimentary dinner menu, really enjoyed it, fun place. Someone earlier did suggest Pig Anchor only complimentary first time, that was not true for us. And for Pig Anchor we did not check in on App, just lined up at entrance.

We were on the Armonia two or three times and daughter and husband with two children once when it sailed out of Miami. We enjoyed the ship and would cruise on her again. But she is an older type cruise ship so people have various opinions when sailing on her. We had Interior Cabins so have no insights into Aurea experience on the Armonia.

We too sailed from Barcelona, taxied to hotel near port (did not go into Barcelona) and then taxied to port next morning, was easy. We flew direct from Newark to Barcelona. Sailed from Rome/ Cive… also, harder to navigate for us, airport not close to cruise port. That was also Newark to Rome.

We were “very” pleasantly surprised by the amount of storage in the Interior Cabin on the Seashore. Do not know if the same is true of the other Classes of Ships. Upon returning home I did book an Interior on Seascape. Hoping not too many people read this positive report of the Interior Cabin, there are few and they go quickly!

Agree completely, our first MSC was Divina in 2015/2016, very different, we met wonderful International cruisers, probably ratio of 90% to 10% Americans, now that has flipped. My take on this - whether right or wrong - all the complaints MSC got was from cruisers who wanted their experience to be the same as every other cruise line they had ever experienced in America - MSC changed to try to please the complainers. Sad! All this to say though is we do still enjoy our cruises on MSC, just not like they were at one time.

@MsTabbyKats always interesting to read your posts. Two weeks ago Seashore Yacht Club Interior Cabin was our first Yacht Club experience after 12 MSC cruises, was “almost” up to what I expected after having thoroughly read everything I could find about it. About Room Delivery Pizza, we could not get it delivered to Sun Deck either, were told that ended recently, so had it delivered to Cabin and took it to Sun Deck. We did enjoy the dining room and the beverages, I am the wine drinker and husband drinks protein shakes, seltzer water, etc. From what you said I can certainty understand why you “may” have come to the conclusion that what you pay for what you use is a little out of line. You mentioned Carnival, we actually cruise between Carnival and MSC these days, enjoy both lines, both different experiences. (We always look forward to Carnival’s Brunch Menu and the dining room breakfast menu as well, have our favorites.)

Yes, it means a section is roped off for Yacht Club, your Butler will walk you down or you can go on your own.
