Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Any idea what the following on my folio means: Contra - Premier Beverage Package 60.88 I did have the premier package and it looks like another one of the many charges that are listed on my folio but were included in the package (They went thru as charges and used all my OBC, refundable and non-refundable.
  2. Yes, I know. I have always checked it before leaving. I checked it twice along the way. We were sailing in a suite and had the premier package. I had already had to get them to refund charging my Visa card in advance for the two specialty dining for each of us. But, now I have been charged for a suite embarkation specialty dinner for two, crew appreciation for 1 of us, and something marked Contra - Premier beverage package to the tune of $60.88. We always had wine by the gIass that was fully covered by the premier package. I only spent $55 outside of package/suite covered items. Any special number to call or just call the main line and hang in there? Thanks for any advice/experience of others. Dru
  3. Sorry, I don't remember where exactly I saw it, but yes you need to update the insurance to match your final price. Do you mean port fees when you say taxes because I thought those were not dependent on the cabin - just per cabin charge from the port??
  4. Just got an email while I was writing above telling me that I can still upgrade - same S0 and S2 and prices. 🤣
  5. Received an email 2 days ago to bid on S0 (Sky) from $2200 per person or (S2) Owner's from $150 per person for my 1 October cruise. I have an aft facing S3 marked NO UPGRADE so you can still be sent the notice. Keeping my cabin. The min bid for the S2 is not bad but much prefer my lower deck.
  6. I know I haven't been on a cruise since 2019 but prior to that we were told Sabatini's was not open on disembarkation day. That would be a great thing on our next cruises!!!😄
  7. I'm guessing that someone is trying to make reservations in Dine My Way in the App and wants to be able to attend or miss the shows.
  8. My love affair with the Medallion App continues. Just got my credit card bill and I was originally charged for 3 specialty dining reservations (full suite with premier package fare - so should have 3 free specialty dining events for 2 people). One of them was reversed but all three were charged at $58. I have 1 res @ Sabatini's (should be $50), 1 at Bistro Sur La Mer, and 1 at Crown Grill. Are there some folks who deal with this kind of stuff specifically or do I just call the regular number?? This app was bad when I went on our first Medallion cruise back in 2019 and it does not appear to have significantly improved. 😒
  9. HleeCruiser, I am right with you. That is why I was surprised that when I clicked on the item, it then asked us to say if we were attending. Perhaps, they are just trying to get an idea of what they might be dealing with. Dru
  10. Agree, but he is inquiring about Enchanted/NewEngland & Canada and the 10/1 cruise is exactly that and I am on that cruise. Suggest he check out his Medallion App.
  11. Just checked for the 10/1 Enchanted sailing and it shows in the JourneyView Activities Timeline of Medallion that there is one show each night at 7:30 pm and the second show at 9:30 pm. People have actually gone in and signed up for different show times. Dru
  12. Be aware that Royal class ships have mostly very narrow balconies. Look up some pictures or videos to get an idea of how narrow they are. You can also see on the deck plans where there are slightly larger balconies. Good luck!
  13. It may be caused by staff availability on a particular ship(s) so they closed bookings early to not overwhelm the staff and only provide less than stellar service to the ones who were on the ship It's also possible that there was a high rate of covid test failures just before sailing, both in vaccinated passengers and ones who had not received their results and did antigen tests at the pier. Princess was also limiting the number of unvaccinated passengers allowed on each ship as a percentage of how many vaccinated passengers were booked.
  14. So, how does choosing an arrival time in the Medallion fit in with all of this? We have an arrival time of 1100-1130 but somewhere I saw 1230 boarding.
