  1. Maybe Carnival is hoping for an earlier date. Vision will be in drydock so no reason to go cruise by cruise. So, not odd at all.
  2. We were in the Crown Lounge when we went through the fog. We have had several cruises with the horn being blown for fog. And, they've all been out of Baltimore. It's Maritime law when visibility is below a mile or so. Nowadays, with radar and AIS, it's not as necessary except in the case of small vessels (private mostly) but it's still required. We found out why the debarkation basically stopped for 1/2 hour or so. CPB called for the stop. Once they started up again, it went really fast. We had a family member pick us up and we kept texting him to delay him. Finally around 1015, we got off and he was there about 5 min later to meet us where Lyft/Uber were picking up. Of course, the angle of the gangway didn't help this morning. We were b2b and last weeks debarkation and embarkation went a lot smoother/faster. As b2bers, we were off through customs and back onboard by 1020 or so.
  3. We just got off Vision today after a b2b. The Captain said they also expect to return to Norfolk after drydock, so by the end of May.
  4. Pro is blue mountain coffee. That's all I can think of lol. We always bring back multiple bags.
  5. We were just on Wonder in Jan for a b2b. Started around 430 and went til 8. We never go before 6. On Jewel on our last 2 b2bs it was 430. We're currently on either 11 and 12th since restart alone or 13th and 14th. I'll have to count. It's 13th and 14th. My point was though it's always been around dining times to accommodate everyone.
  6. It's always been based on dining times. Usually half hour to a hour before first seating to start of second. Currently on Vision lounge hh times are 430-8.
  7. Absolutely beautiful weather today at CC. Last port on this leg. And yes the drydock is a technical one. They have been doing other cosmetic work that is typical maintenance. FYI the port side glass elevator does not work and apparently hasn't for a while. I'm sure it's on the list for repair in drydock. It makes it a pain to go to the VCL. We usually spend time there but not much this cruise. Food has been good.
  8. From dropoff by family to boarding about 30 minutes. But we arrived at 1. Too many arrived before noon and had to wait. Debarking was late for previous cruise due to tide issues and 55 buses had to be loaded. When they said not to arrive early they meant it. This week will be different. Only one bus for b2bers but there will be a few shuttles from the parking garage. And if they start debarkation on time it will help. We're b2b but they gave us 930 departure time since I didn't pick one cause we don't need one. We actually had to sit for a bit because the gangway got backed up. They scan your pass for boarding on the ship so that caused a backlog. I'm currently sitting by the oasis pool on cc.
  9. Veranda? You mean balcony? So far cruise has been great. Food has been better also. We are having a great time.
  10. Yes we are onboard. Currently in Freeport. Great weather and seas so far. We're on next cruise also. We saw that about end of May
  11. We use it for pj's, t-shirts, underwear and socks. Usually one bag per cruise even though we could use 2 if we wanted to.
  12. I'm in the NN/Yorktown area and will be boarding tomorrow. Weather has calmed way down, but yeah, lots of rain all up and down I-95 today. Very messy drive.
  13. What are you talking about? The signs state that hazardous materials are prohibited in the tunnels.
  14. September is almost 6 months from now. They are notifying as they know and the port should be usable/accessible by then.
  15. And one of the passengers was an older woman who barely was able to get on the boat that tried to take them out. No way she could ever climb into the ship.
