  1. Great point. Yup Symphony cruise in 3 weeks in a GS cost us only Port Fees. So the both of us are paying a grand total $247. ( not each - combined). So that makes the situation even better. 😳
  2. Good morning. Well just a little change of topic from me. When I cruise with my spouse I have a daily budget that I allow in the casino. When it’s gone POOOF!!!!!! So am I for the day. Last year was a great year. Broke even. Yup That’s a good year. I had 14 hand pays from 3 cruises. Payout ranged $1400s - $3500. So I did what any self conscious American citizen would do while filing my taxes. I turned in my paper work from the cruise that I got with every hand pay and also the RCI requested win/loss form. ( which was emailed quickly). So our accountant called me and asked for my gambling log. I go. “what do you mean” She goes and I para quote…… ”…in order for me to submit I need the log you kept tracking ALL the money you put in and in addition all the money you acquired on winning spins which includes anything and all amounts. Even if it was just “2” registering for let’s say cherries….” I go. “ Your kidding…..right”. “ a log”. She unfortunately goes. “No”. So. Now I get to inform the spouse that that BIG refund we are getting is not gonna happen. And. We have to pay this year. But. The good news is we are “ Married “. again for tax purposes ( we are happily married celebrating 33 years in August). We don’t have to file separately ( like we have done every year previously) This should make him happy. NOT. Be safe.
  3. So I am unable to enjoy the news (😔), due to the fact that the squirrel is climbing the fireplace to get into the window bird food feeder. Oh yea. Lizzy entertainment.
  4. Good afternoon. Today, after cleaning the house I wanted to take the time to catch up on the news (😉). So I guess Lizzy comes with the blanket.
  5. Today we traveled to Canton Ohio, and ended up at the convention center. We have waited for years to see Jeff Dunham. He was either too far away or we had other commitments. His show is not for one who is easily bothered by “HUMOR”, which I might say can be very very intense. It would not be on the Popes must see list for good Catholic girls. Any way. We laughed for hours. Also if your reservation was in the first class section (Prime) for lack of a better word- - you got a gift bag. Be safe.
  6. Now days doctors are very conscious about ordering pain meds/ narcotics. The current standard has been to attain surgical and post op course with a “ non narcotic” approach. As I was getting ready to retire we were transitioning in this current safety protocol. For our area it was not 100% narcotic free surgical pain management nor post op. But a combination of various blocks, receptor blocking meds………… But aside from all the mumbo jumbo it provides a physician directed guided plan. Your physician and his/her closet medical team will direct your care knowing from experience what the most common healing time frame is. That is one of the reasons your prescription for pain meds has a case determined number of pills with no refills. Ok. So now to answer your question. When we send a person home with post op instructions we too tell them to take the pain med ordered “Around the clock” for the immediate post op recovery phase. Usual not to exceed 3-4 days. Why? if you block your own bodies nerve pathways before the pain starts than the goal and you have one happy camper. Also another factor is the individual surgical procedure and the level of pain it produces. Remember I am a Nurse. Anesthetist. And practiced side by side with Anesthesiologist who were educated in more detail in the practice of medicine than I. so I always had a great resource person. Oh so much mumbo jumbo. However. All being said. Take “their advice” They know best. You can read my view. But I do not know all your health history or needs to determine what is best for you. But as a friend I will attempt to help you understand what your physician ordered. AS YOU PRACTICE HIS INSTRUCTIONS. But what I can say is it is done. All over. HAPPY HEALING. SUE ❤️
  7. The easiest and cheapest location for us. We are near the middle of the path as the darkness transverses across of Ohio. And will experience darkness. Our backyard. But already invited to neighboring parties. The weather that day will determine our location. Many hotels are offering blackout all inclusive parties. That should be entertaining. Be safe.
  8. Another thread has that RCI Is canceling Labadee for future cruises starting tomorrow. Just saying.
