  1. A copy/paste from an insurance company’s website is hardly an official source. in any case, a US citizen never needs to have their passport valid for six months to enter the US. Whether a non-US citizen does depends on where they’re from. Currently, citizens of well over 100 countries do not, and unless you’re from China, the odds are pretty good you’re exempt. Countries Exempt
  2. The perfect item for the man worried about whether his shorts will be allowed in the MDR:
  3. Since home this time of year is SW Florida, that certainly gives me a lot of latitude. 😉
  4. Unless I know I’ll need it, I always leave mine in the lockbox where there’s a near zero probability of it being lost/stolen/misplaced.
  5. Sometimes you don’t have to win the lawsuit, you just have to have enough of a case that they’ll settle for a reasonable amount rather than pay the cost of defending it.
  6. Seems unlikely considering you don’t even need one to qualify. And when you fly domestically, you don’t even need to bring it with you.
  7. Good idea, but not really necessary unless you’re flying internationally. TSA precheck isn’t tied to a passport, even though you may have used one to qualify,
  8. Only for day one? Do I have to wear long pants to eat lunch in the MDR on other days?
  9. Pants that are somewhere between capris and clam diggers, in length, anyway. Just high enough to keep them from getting caught by a bike chain.
  10. It always seemed to take a while in both Blu and Luminae to get tomato juice, so I started going to the buffet area ahead of time, getting a glass, and bringing it in. I imagine you could do the same with apple juice.
  11. One time many years ago, we were on a package tour of Hawaii, and they took care of getting your luggage out of your room and to the plane. We packed up and went swimming at the beach. When we got back I realized I had packed everything, and ended up flying from Oahu to Kauai in a bathing suit, t shirt, and sandals.
  12. Potentially it plays out in a lot of ways. 1) You could go to the buffet. 2) You could pack your long pants in your carry on. 3) You could not close your suitcase until you get back to your room, put your long pants in it, and then set it outside. 4) You could wear your long pants the next morning. 5) You could hope the Maitre’D doesn’t kick you out of the MDR and switch to option 1) if he does. 6) You could eat dinner, go back to your room change clothes, put your suitcase out, and go to the show. I typically do either 3 or 6, although I have done 4 as well.
  13. Then a little further on it says …The terms and conditions of your original cruise booking will remain in effect following the acceptance of an Offer or if an Offer is not accepted. This includes terms and conditions pertaining to cancellation, penalties, changes, the Captain’s Club program…. So, what you gonna do? Conflicting terms which will cost more in lawyer fees than the cruise cost to settle out. And as I mentioned before, even if they were legally in the wrong to do it, after they returned your money and you to your original cabin what actual damages can be claimed and sued for?
  14. Perhaps you weren’t aware, but almost all Internet access, most likely even the one you have at home, is asynchronous i.e. having faster download speeds than upload speeds. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Basic download speed is faster than the Premium upload speed, much less the Basic upload speed. Of course they do it to make money. Just like they allow better liquors on the Premium package even though they could allow them on the Classic package.
