Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We did a Cozumel Food Tour. It stopped at several different places, and we sampled food and drinks. Some of the places were little hole in the wall places that you would normally walk right by but had amazing food. There was also a stop at a local outdoor market. Not the most exciting excursion, but it was a lot of fun.
  2. We have always cruised in balcony rooms. Now that I'm retired, we thought we would try inside rooms to be able to cruise more often. We did NCL and it was a terrible experience, the room was so small, and the bathroom was even smaller. We had done a balcony in YC and loved it. Figured we would try an inside. We recently did a YC inside on the Seascape and it was fantastic. Is it smaller than a balcony? Yes. Can I live with that to be able to cruise Yacht Club? Definitely yes. The room had plenty of space and enough storage for us. The bathroom is small but doable. The shower is very small (I'm 215 lbs) but it worked. What we always liked about the balcony was being able to get away from the crowds for some quiet time. In YC there are plenty of spaces for that. You can go to the Top Sail Lounge or even up on deck there are plenty of open spaces. In YC, it's even more true that you spend less time in your room, and at half the price of a balcony I can cruise twice as much. As far as location, they are in the YC so no bad location, just steps to everything. All the rooms could use more outlets but so many of my rechargeable things use the USB connections, so I bring a 6 USB charger that works great. I've never been on Celebrity, but I've cruised for 20 years on NCL, Carnival, and Royal. What they say is true, YC will spoil you to any other type of cruising.
  3. I've had the same problem getting any kind of response. I've submitted the form 3 times. I called MSC Casino and they said they haven't received the form and can't do anything without it. I've called the contact number 20 times so far today and just get a busy signal. I've e mailed every contact I can find but haven't received a single response, not even auto replies. This has been going on for almost 3 weeks now. It's pretty frustrating.
  4. Two weeks ago on the Seascape, the cabanas often had stuff on them without anyone around. I always wake up at 5:30 and usually read in bed until my wife wakes up. On the last sea day, I decided to go up and get a cabana. I was there at 5:30 reading. Surprised a couple crew members. At 7:00 people came and locked 2 Kyss bags to the other cabanas and left. At 9:00 one guy sat on the lounge for about 5 minutes. At 2:00 it started to rain and the people came for their Kyss bags and left without ever sitting in one of the cabanas. They really should monitor the use and try to do something to let more people use them. Kind of hard when people actually lock things to the cabana.
