  1. Just to clarify, the Yellow Cab app can do most of what the Uber app does including tracking the vehicle as it approaches. It allows you to pay in advance through the app as does Uber but unlike Uber, you also have the option of paying at the end of the ride with a credit card or cash. We compare prices and in nearly all instances, Yellow Cab is less expensive. Unless things have changed, for those arriving at Pier 91, the ride share pick up lot is ¼ mile from the terminal. Yellow Cab can pick up at the terminal.

The website indicates $10 to the cemetery round trip.
  3. The Mediterranean Inn is one of the closest to the pier. It's near many restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the Space Needle. They have a shuttle to the pier for $10/person. A cab/Uber is now closer to $20 to the pier from most downtown hotels.

The Gold Rush Cemetery makes for a nice stop. The Smart Shuttle goes out that way. From there you can take the short walk to Lower Reid Falls.
  5. There's a Safeway across the street from the Mediterranean with a decent selection of wines.
  6. We've used them from downtown to the airport a couple times and would use them again. They have an app to schedule a pickup. The car they used both times was barely big enough for 2 of us plus luggage. You may need to request a larger car if you can. I live downtown and have never heard of a "Day Resort hotel". What is it?
  7. You should check with your hotel for transportation options. Many downtown hotels have shuttles to the port. A cab/Uber will be $20 or so from most downtown hotels. If staying at the airport, Shuttle Express works well.
  8. There are no steep hills between the Westlake Station and the Marriott Waterfront. Maps may tell you to head towards Pike Place Market and then along Pike Place but it will be packed with people and inconvenient with luggage. From Westlake head north along 1st or 2nd Ave and then west on Bell St. There is an elevator at the end of Bell St. down to the terminal.
  9. The Millennium Lakefront Hotel has had several names in the past 30 years but it still appears it is the same property currently with the Coast just down the street where it has always been. Is that not the case any longer?
  10. You won't make this flight. The earliest suggested time for a departure is noon. TSA lines can be insane at SeaTac. Even with TSA pre-check, it took us 45 minutes to get through last year.
  11. We've been visiting Mendenhall Glacier for 30 years and used to go each visit. Haven't been for many years now as it kind of lost it's appeal. I do think for a first time visitor it still has some charm and will continue to be a main event in Juneau for several more years. The area itself is beautiful.
  12. The Millennium Lakefront Hotel is nice. It sits on Lake Hood and they have a nice deck where you can watch the float planes come and go.
  13. We drove up from Seattle and parked at the long term value lot at the Vancouver airport next to the Templeton Station. 2 years ago it was $135 for 2 weeks. Took the train into downtown. We'd do it again.
