  1. From the MoveUp T's & C's: You get to keep the promotions you already have. However, no additional promotions will be added to your reservation. And: You will earn points based on the original category paid for.
  2. We very rarely get involved with move up, but if and when we think we might, I note the fares for the upgraded stateroom(s) I would consider at the time that I am booking the original stateroom selected. I then follow that category(s) fares from that initial booking time, and the bid I would enter for any upgraded stateroom would typically be lower than, but would not exceed the difference between what I paid and what the lowest fare offered was for that category. Once entered I would not change it. If I get it, great, if not, no loss. But in this manner I am assured I would not overpay with the bid.
  3. I get it and point well made. And I did not take your comments in any negative manner and sorry if you felt that I did. And my "very good list" basically comes from the Celebrity / RCCL websites - LOL (they both are the same flight service)....and from personal experience.
  4. After 50+ RCCL / Celebrity cruises, who may happen to be the cruise director is of little importance to us as, in particular with Celebrity, we don't get involved with too much of anything on board that they would be "directing".
  5. Not saying they don't - only including it with what FBC does.
  6. As Ken suggests, they will sell out of the beverage packages only when 100% of the legal age passengers purchase it. And they would love that as this is a huge profit center for them!
  7. Sorry - didn't catch that in the OP's signature. An unfortunate difference in the rules, I guess. I don't think the location is bad with, if it matters, the exception of the smoking area which I do think is right below them on the deck 5 outdoor promenade.
  8. Not from direct experience, but this is also a connecting stateroom if that matters to you with an interior door that will connect to 6676. You are also on the deck with obstructed views resulting from the lifeboats, but are in a section that does not have any in front of you, so that won't be an issue. However there is direct downward limitations with the deck extension below. Not certain but you may be correct regarding this being the smoking area directly below as well. Below you internally is an area of retail shops and the hallway to Two70. If you are uncertain of this location you can be moved to any available stateroom in your same assigned sub-category which I believe is 3D/4D (in this case I believe with a GTY they are considered the same). Just contact whomever you booked through and they can confirm alternate location availability and move you if desired.
  9. Not a pet and a different cruise line there is a Captain on RCCL that at one time kept his motorcycle on board and frequently rode it in ports of call - often with others. I'm sure senior staff has certain exceptions granted.
  10. Two that I recall in 50+ cruises, but both were able to be replaced by alternates. CocoCay early 1990's pre-pier replaced with Freeport, Grand Bahama (would have preferred a day at sea, LOL) and St. Thomas replaced with a second day overnight at St. Martin on a post covid restart cruise.
  11. Nothing as you need not do anything for me in the first place. Apologizing wasn't necessary, but with a ? after it I wasn't sure if it was one. Thanks for clarifying.
  12. I don't know, do you apologize? There just is no point or value to the majority of the comments. If the shoe fits....
  13. That is certainly true as with many things, the daily cost of the drink packages has been steadily increasing. We have never purchased the drink package as to us, based on our average consumption, it would be less costly to purchase the drinks a la carte. But to be fair that decision is driven primarily by the fact that with our C& A status we each receive 5 drink coupons daily and that typically covers our day's requirements. Any additional drinks are far more economic to purchase as needed. I do understand your dilemma, however, in particular when you look at the total cost of the packages and realize it includes port days when you are most likely primarily going to be off the ship. Add that to the concern you have regarding your wife not likely utilizing the full value makes it a difficult decsion.
  14. I think the simple solution would be either for your wife to drink more or for you to care less - LOL. But I understand, looking at it from a break-even can be somewhat daunting. I think @NotADopey1 has the right idea if you are on the fence about it.
