  1. I'd go for the shortest line and consider myself lucky to have a choice if anyone checking lane assignment.
  2. You guys were lucky to get that offer in the first place. If they did it on this side of the pond, I'd book the package.
  3. Wear Smart Casual all time? You will be fine. Go to SD on any night you choose.
  4. Have you looked into a discounting TA since you are in the US? I agree with others - just use your own address. However, you should setup a PCL online account for them so they will get their own Captain's Circle member numbers and you add their own passport information and credit card, birthdate, etc there which carry into bookings.
  5. So, with respect to WS award which they have received when they did the big revamp, is this turning into another PCL marketing promise and they don't/can't deliver on? The printed paper menu used to demonstrate some seriousness. Of course, WS is judging on the bottle list. Is PCL not providing these wines any longer, or is the issue with the BTG listings which are typically consumed by the guests on packages?
  6. I am thinking that when PCL re-did their wine list back pre-pandemic, they had a wine consultant advise them and help select labels. It was a vast improvement over the previous situation. When they came with the Plus and basically dumbed down the basic wines available BTG on the plan, it seems they abandoned most pretense to a "fine" wine list. I am thinking they no longer have an expert in the matter, nor are paying the same consultant source to help them again (not anyone else). So the "interesting" labels have been getting drunk up and are being replaced with what consensus seems is rather uninspiring - or a shade above plonk. It appears they have decided to build out the wine list with lower cost selections that they then slap a large markup on. Sure, they still have some eye-watering price tags, but is that only because stick is still kicking around from circa-2019? I do bring my own if at all feasible, so can ignore what they offer. But it is sad to see - if they are reverting back to a "blah" list. There's a restaurant we are going to with family tomorrow evening for dinner. They purport to be one of the nicer places to dine out in this not-large city. That said, they have been around for a couple generations, so quite traditional. I looked at the wine list earlier today. I couldn't believe it and had not seen anything this bad for ages. Unfortunately, they do not allow BYOW, so perhaps I will just have a beer. It's like it was assembled without a care and of course as soon as you see a list with no vintage and incomplete label names, you know to run the other direction. But I don't have a choice. On the ships, you also have to live with what's on offer or BYO.
  7. I wouldn't use such a term either. For the most part, they are ordinary people doing what they do where Princess allows it. Any bad words should be directed at HQ upper management who refuse to get with the program anywhere else.
  8. Okay. I was explaining what I saw as the situation on Coral and Island with 2 DRs and how that will work. Yes, PCL has more venues and we can even think of Sun Class as multiple venues because each level is different out of the three levels.
  9. I see - had not read that before. So, it seems there is no "backdoor" way while on the ships. I do agree that they should not restrict that. So, I suppose using one of the ship PC's in the Internet Cafe is not going to help either since they will also be on MedallionNet.
  10. I understand what you are saying and aware of it. I thought you mentioned needing internet because I was thinking you login to Princess web version of the App and would then be able to use DMW.
  11. True, it will be an inconvenience if on a ship without internet. That would never enter my mind. . Lol. Hey, I thought "everyone" was on a package. If it happened to me, I'd find the time figuring not everyone would be on it like a Swift or Springsteen concert.
  12. Yup. I called that one in my post #103 above, before seeing this one. Makes the most sense to me as to how to organize the space. TD and Reserve Class section in the other DR.
  13. Actually, they had one DR designated for TD and the other for AT. Now, they will need to decide whether to have bookings in the same DR and walk-ups and TD with Reserve Section - or some other combination. My guess will be one DR hosting TD and Reserve Class and the other DR have an inventory of reservations and the balance held back for walk-ups. They can always re-allocate guests to the TD room if there are unused seats and adjust by voyage. The DRO's will have more control over their DR's than with DMW App handling most of the space now.
  14. If a TD guest wants to bail, they could do so and DR Mgmt could fill the table with other guests - such as walk-ups arriving at the right time and needing a table. I believe TD is going to be managed they way it was prior to DMW App.
