  1. Our latest review is up! In January of 2024 we cruised the Carnival Jubilee from Galveston Texas. During that cruise we ate at the specialty restaurant Bonsai Teppanyaki. This video shows some of what we saw and we talk about our experiences. Thank you for watching. Also, if your looking, here is our review from last year of the Bonsai Teppanyaki on the Carnival Panorama Bonsai Teppanyaki Restaurant | Carnival Panorama | Meal and Restaurant Review
  2. Thanks for posting your ups and the areas for growth. Loved the pictures too!
  3. Turo is a car rental site. Instead of renting from a company, you rent from a person. A car rental in Juneau ran about $380 for the day, and with Turo we rented a van at $62 and added insurance bringing to to about $90. They dopped it at a parking garage next to the pier and we left it in the same place. Having our own car was convenient especially with grandma who struggles with mobility. The car owners had communicated with us ahead of time and left us with a ton of "ideas" of places to visit. We took there tip on where to eat, but had do loads of research ahead of time on the others. Visiting the glacier, the shrine and the whale sculpture were just the price of gas. We also went to the garden that had a entry fee.
  4. Here it is. The Turo part starts around 3:10, we do some ship stuff before hand.
  5. Oh cool, yes Alaska was awesome. My personal favorite was on time in Juneau, renting a Turo for the day. We saw so much. Hope you get to go to Alaska soon
  6. Awesome, that looks awesome. A definite contender. I will share with the wife. Loved your YouTube channel as well, giving it a subscribe, us small channels need to stick together. Keep up the good work!
  7. I have done this itinerary many times. I love your idea of Bison tour, in Catalina, but have not done it. I have read lots of great reviews and almost did it the last time there. We have rented a golf cart to get good views of the harbor and cruise ship (3 or 4 times), walked the downtown, window shopping and getting a scoop of ice cream at least as many times. Also, they do tours in the casino (the circular building) which we did once. There is a nice botanical garden which a little way from the pier and also done a "glass bottom" submarine tour which we enjoyed, however the water clarity you are probably use to from Florida is not that great (or it wasn't that day) Most times when we are Ensenada we choose to enjoy the ship. However the blow hole is a decent excursion. Many people loved visiting the old casino (and birth place of the Margarita). You can shop in their downtown. My personal favorite was a wine tour excursion through the cruise line. If you are struggling on Ensenada look up a YouTube channel, The Beach Life. Hani has a ton of videos on all sorts of things to do in Ensenada. Whatever you do, you will have a good time. Once thing to know, the distance trawled is a fraction of the time needed to get to both ports and for this reason, the cruise ships sail at slower speeds. Sometimes the lower speeds and a rocky ocean lead to a bumpy ride. It has never been a problem for me, but I know I have read more than a few comments about the rocky seas. If you are interested in any of the excursions, I have a couple of cruise vlog series (Radiance, Miracle and Inspiration) that shows some of our experiences. Anyway you go about it, I hope you have a great cruise (and if you do the bison excursion, please come back and share)
  8. I know no one posted, but I wanted to follow up and see what you ended up doing, Was there lots to choose from? Any information will be greatly appreciated.
  9. Thank you for sharing. Were you able to book and if so have you taken the excursion and mind sharing your experience. I read positive here and positive on another thread and fb. Thank you in advance.
  10. Thank you for posting. I know this is an older post, but been searching a bunch for what to do for the day. Will be contacting the company and hope to book the "Your Day" as well
  11. This is a short review of a 2 Bedroom Signature Villa @ Holiday Inn Club Vacations Galveston Seaside Resort which is a hotel in south Galveston.
  12. Definitely! I have to say, it is an understated perk, but we definitely loved using it. Also really loved the room service perk. Hope you have a great cruise!!!
  13. This may not be what you are looking for, but we loved our resort pass at Secrets in PV. We plan doing the same in October with Secrets sister resort Dreams (since our kids will be with us). I have our experience linked in my signature (2023 Carnival Panorama) if you are interested. I know, another cruise line, but they will take passages from any ship. The taxi ride was simple, check in was easy and the resort was definitely something we would do again. Happy sailing!
