Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I didn't book the *maiden* voyage as it's a 5 night, but I have booked the maiden 7 night the following week. Prefer a longer sailing and I am sure there will still be plenty of maiden festivities!
  2. Bid the minimum $90 per person for an obstructed deluxe balcony on our upcoming Sky cruise this weekend and got it! We were in an interior so this is a good upgrade. We were assigned one of the forward ones on Emerald deck whose only obstruction is a metal railing but has a lot more balcony space! Random side question for anyone who may know- we already received our medallions before the upgrade happened. Will they still work? I know the app has updated but do the medallions themselves need to be swapped out?
  3. Hello everyone! I notice that the interior rooms on the Quantum class ships come in two flavors: one with a single chair and another with a sofa and seems deeper. Is there any way to denote which ones have the sofa? There doesn't seem to be a "large" interior category distinction or other obvious way to tell the difference. Thanks in advance!
  4. This is my issue with it. I no longer can trust Princess to do right by me and deliver the experience I booked. If this is an indication of the "leadership" of Princess' new President, I have less inclination to book with them moving forward. A very bad look for a supposed 'premium' line.
  5. Very similar story here. I drove down the turnpike with the windows down to help with the smell then went to Walmart and got every kind of cleaner imaginable. Drying the car out with a fan as we speak. It's a mess! The only issue I had was my tire pressure monitoring system through a fault but once I started driving the sensor dried off and it never happened again. I will be parking in the port garages from now on!
  6. I appreciate it! Certainly makes me re-evaluate where I park my car at Port Everglades now.
  7. Many vehicles suffered some form of water damage. I saw several with their hoods up and tow trucks were there. Thankfully I have an SUV and water only got in to the floorboards. They had shop vacs and such set up on the way out so you could vacuum more. It seemed to me their staff had tried to pump out as much water as possible already from the vehicles. You could tell which ones had seen water as they had condensation inside the windshields across the lot. I lucked out with just a damp floorboard. Others were not so lucky. Park n' Go did the best they could and as always they delivered good service but this event (even though it was a freak occurrence) will likely keep me from using them again. The port garages are much more secure against the weather. Maybe that's too harsh but all it takes is one event like this to make you rethink if the savings on parking are worth it.
  8. Ouch. Well I had placed an AirTag in my car a couple of weeks ago after seeing a news story of a man tracking his stolen car that way and it has showed my vehicle moving twice within the lot today so hoping that is good news…
  9. Anyone have an idea how Park n Go fared? On a cruise right now and would like an idea of what I am returning to on Sunday! A flooded vehicle certainly wasn’t in the plans. I would call them but Wi-Fi calling is spotty at best.

  11. Same here. Hoping it is truly only one package for two considering the icons aren't appearing on both.
  12. According to the T&C's of the offer it claims its for 'new bookings only' from March 10th-15th for select sailings. Perhaps they're just trialing it and that's why it's such a deal?
  13. Not as much as they once did. They used to make regular calls on Labadee and occasionally Coco Cay but I have not saw either on a Celebrity itinerary in quite some time. I wish they would either start stopping at those again or X could get its own island destination. I am tired of Nassau on every Caribbean sailing and I am sure I am not alone in that.
  14. Just got off the Summit this morning and a 5 night cruise to Cozumel and Nassau. 700 passengers on a vessel with a capacity of 2200. That being said, I am sure it had more to do with it being the week after Thanksgiving but it was like having a private yacht. That being said, I noticed absolutely no rowdyness whatsoever. X doesn't lend itself to this crowd.
  15. I sail in two days and tested three days out, as per the website and app. I highly doubt there will be any issues at the pier as that is the most up to date information made available and can be easily pulled up if anyone questions it. It seems the emails are automated and have been overlooked since the rule changes of a couple weeks ago.
