  1. Do you know what special things are arranged for your maiden voyage on the unnamed ship, if any?
  2. Thank you. I wasn’t sure about the Q4s, hence my reticence. 😀
  3. Q5s and Q6s do not have separate shower cubicles, and the one over the bath is not easily accessible as the bath is high sided.
  4. And basic trigonometry shows that the higher you are the greater the extent of the movement when the ship rolls. But, I would always go for higher up, because the horizon is so much further away and more distinct (assuming it isn’t foggy), and fixing your eyes on the unmoving horizon is supposed to be calming.
  5. Not on the other ships.
  6. On Vesselfinder her flag has been changed from Italy to Bermuda. Slow steps…
  7. I would find being described as a novelty seeker a little disparaging. I would feel it suggested I were shallow and trivial.
  8. As far as I can see, the really major advantage of table cloths is they absorb a lot of noise, which bare wood does not. In a noisy restaurant this can make a huge difference, but may not matter in a smallish space with well behaved Cunard passengers. On the other hand, when I managed to knock over a nearly full bottle of Malbec in QG last summer, I imagine the staff would have been happier without table cloths to sort out.
  9. Of course you are entitled to your opinion, with which I may be inclined to agree, on balance. It is something I certainly wouldn’t bother to do twice. However, it seems a little unkind to sound so disparaging of those who have enjoyed it or wish to.
  10. Some indications of the menus of the new restaurants would be great. And just a few actual pictures of real places. Some bits must be ready, surely. As for insight speakers, they may not know yet. But anticipation is definitely building.
  11. But something a lot of people harmlessly enjoy.
  12. Well, I hope Cunard will begin to drip feed us some more information, and, above all, pictures.
  13. I’ve read several accounts on here of people who were on the waiting list, but heard nothing, until they rang up, having looked at the website, and bingo, there was a cabin.
  14. Yes, so have I, though, as time has gone on, I’ve become less inclined to believe it. In any case, they must have some empty cabins to cope with the victims of plumbing catastrophes and the like.
