  1. We are four star on Holland and just booked a cruise for October 2024 after sailing in Celebrity for the last five years. OurCelebrity cruise this fall disappointed us in several ways: decline in quality and number of choices in main dining room, cutback in staff in lounges so the beverage package was not worth purchasing, and production shows were repeats from the last two years. The staff was so overworked our cabin steward was always running late and forgetting requests we made to him. The prices have increased quite a bit and the same itinerary from 2021 has been shortened by a day or two.we are trying Windstar this winter and look forward to trying something new.
  2. We are on the Summit and we’re having lunch with friends when one person asked about upgrading to Premium package. Her partner does not drink alcohol and she was told he would upgrade her and her partner could stay with the classic. She replied she would like to think about it. He came back four times to ask her if she made up her mind. The fourth time she told him no and he finally left us alone. Another server kept trying to sign us up for one of the many wine tastings and pressed the issue over and over until we said no. I hope this is not an indication of the sales pitches we will have to be harassed about for the next ten days.
  3. We filed a dispute with our credit card company on June 5th. Vantage has 90 days to respond - and haven't done so yet. If Vantage doesn't respond at the end of 90 days we win our dispute and have the money refunded to us. Does anyone know how filing chapter 11 affects this?
  4. I telephoned Vantage this morning after reading reports they had ceased operations on June 12th. Chose option four - new bookings and Eric answered the phone in 30 seconds so apparently they are still willing to take consumers money. Reached out to our state representative’s office in Massachusetts and they promised to contact Attorney General’ s office for more information.

I spoke to someone in the Attorney General's office in Massachusetts ( we are MA residents) and she suggested filing a company with IC3.gov and FTC.gov because of Vantage's continued sale of NEW trips that listed summer sailings as SOLD OUT not cancelled. A week after our cancellation to the National Parks Vantage finally acknowledged our option for a full refund and deleted the cancellation on our portfolio. We made our final payment in March and have filed a dispute with the credit card company as well as a complaint with the Attorney General.
  6. When pricing a 21 day cruise for October of 2024, this phrase appeared and with $ 500 next to it. The TA also listed @ 600 on board credit. I am not familiar with this phrase. What does it mean?
  7. Our flight has just been changed from departing at 11:20AM to 10:40AM. It is a nonstop flight and the next nonstop is at 6:00 PM. We would rather not wait all day to leave Fort Lauderdale. Does anyone know how many ships are disembarking passengers on 3/9? I am hoping if we carry our luggage off the ship and there is a short line for a taxi that we will make the earlier flight.

  9. We are new to Windstar. .Are any shore excursions included? We have $1000 in onboard credit. Can we use this to book tours ahead?
  10. In 2020 we were on the second part of a btb and a large group came onboard the SILHOUETTE. The bars were packed at noon and continued all day and night. The ship was filled with loud, drunken passengers who took over the venues. This continued for the next nine days. Spoiled our cruise. I wish they had chartered the ship and had told us in advance so we could have changed our plans.

  12. We just signed up for a 14 day cruise and want to spend a couple of days on the island before we embark the Windsurf. Any suggestions?
  13. We are four couples ( four different reservations) traveling from Southeastern Massachusetts to the terminal. Have cruised out of Boston before so are aware of the terminal size. My concern is that if we all receive different boarding times can those with the later times board with the ones with the earlier times.
