  1. Eventually you get tired of the kids screaming for a bubble machine or a set of ears or something, you'll pay anything to get it to stop. LOL
  2. Nowhere in a Disney gift shop do they have signs extolling the value of "tax and duty free" shopping, nor do they have shopping advisors constantly telling you how much cheaper things are onboard or in the ports of call vs. at home. Etc.
  3. The muscle milks, bottled teas, etc., are usually only carried at the coffee shop bar and usually in very limited supply.
  4. How many vacation gift shops constantly tell you how great of a deal they are because it's "tax and duty free" etc?
  5. Unlike most other cruise lines and land-based casinos, Carnival does not have a published schedule of comps. The only comp that Carnival advertises is you must accumulate I think 1500 points to get free drinks while playing. But you may already have that immediately depending upon the rate code you booked. Any comps above that - free steakhouse meals, free balcony cabins, etc., are at the discretion of the casino hosts. There is no formula. Anything that people may respond with is just speculation.
  6. https://www.carnival.com/personal-vacation-planners.aspx That may just trigger a call from your current PVP though. You may need to ask for recommendations on other sites (can't recommend them here) then call the new PVP you want to go with and ask that they take over your file.
  7. https://help.goccl.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1152/~/carnivals-wi-fi-service The prices here are subject to change but that should give you an idea. You can buy the value or premium plans for 24 hours at a time, but Social can only be purchased for the entire cruise. Not that it matters, you'll need Value or Premium for what your daughter needs to do anyway most likely. If dorm room selection will happen while you are onshore, you may be able to find free wifi (or roam with your cellular provider) at lower cost than Carnival's wifi service.
  8. The casino would need a way to hide the rake
  9. Same - light drinker anyway, even on vacation, so I usually use the coupon for a diet pepsi.
  10. Absolutely true but special needs can provide written permission that OP can bring with them on embarkation day, if there is a particular reason he or she needs that brand which only comes in bottles. Or if they need more than 12. Etc.
  11. You said in post 34 if an enemy took out a backbone, we'd be doomed. To me that means a global outage that lasts for days, weeks, months. Don't want to derail this thread any more so this will be my last reply on the topic. But my point was that it's impossible for there to be a widespead total and complete collapse of the internet.
  12. No. Bacon is too high falutin for modern Carnival.
  13. Simply impossible for the entire Internet to go down globally. Google may go down. Amazon may go down. Your local ISP may go down. Your cellular carrier may go down. But the Internet at large will self-heal essentially immediately.
