Hello, I sailed on POA earlier this year and the ship was 1/2 full. (also half services like most bars and restaurants were closed...) Anyway, we're sailing on the Bliss in two weeks. Are NCL ships still sailing at reduced capacity or is that all over now? Thank you!

Tried a mock booking for our upcoming cruise and all Haven rooms are sold out. Yet it did accept my bid for an upgraded Haven room. Is it only possible to win if someone cancels? Does the system ever not take bids when rooms are sold out?

Presently on the last night of our Cruise on POA. My daughter is 19 and this was our first cruise since she turned 18. Pre-cruise she was dreading the lack of a formal program. In practice, NCL has a very informal "meet up" in the dailies for 18-20 year olds. She went to the second one, met some other girls and hung out with them for the rest of the cruse. Worked out pretty well, she was with us more than past cruises but had some time to be with her friends too.

Wow, I had no idea we were in the company of corporate royalty! Congrats and enjoy. For my POA cruise next week (psyched btw) I upgraded to the premium as well. It said "for guests 1 and 2" any idea what that means? Is there a limit to how many devices they let you connect? If I want to connect my Phone, Tablet, and Mac can I do that or is it one device per guest? And not to consume your attention with network issues but since you are a power-poster, I'm sure you've got experience with this. I'd much rather tether and use the Cell network. I assume when the ship sets sail, you have to disconnect from Cell or you get nailed with using the ship cell...is there a way to force your phone to ignore the Ship Cell (not WiFi) and only use the terrestrial cell network from majors like AT&T or Verizon? Since this is an all USA itinerary I figured I'd bag the slow ship WiFi for Cell when we're in port but can you use Cell even when at sea but close to land? My only new question for you is this - other early POA reviews have said that while capacity is 50% or less, staffing seems to be even below that level leading to "service" issues. Some of those reviews mentioned that more staff was either being trained or en route to join the crew. Do you think the staff to guest ratio has normalized and is acceptable or at least comparable to past sailings you've been on?

Dumb question, I could swear I read somewhere that if you owned NCLH Stock, and were an NCL customer, there was some benefit. Is that true? What is the benefit and how many shares does one need to own in order to qualify for those benefit(s)? Thank you.

Thanks very much for the report. My family and I are on POA in just over a week (5/21 sailing.) I was very excited but my enthusiasm is being tempered by several reports of lack of service. I firmly believe the old adage that you get what you pay for and I paid top dollar for this cruise so I have lofty expectations. If NCL is making compromises, I understand but perhaps they should pass the savings along to passengers (that will never happen...) anyway I'm hopeful it keeps getting better and hopefully this lives up to my expectations. For the OP, are you very familiar with HI? I can't believe you didn't do ship sponsored excursions. We have only booked NCL excursions (and a slew of them). I'm wondering if it's easy to do it on your own or if you are just more savvy than the average bear...

Hello, We're on POA in two weeks! Anyway, this is the first cruise I've done in "Haven" where there isn't an actual Haven Lounge or restaurant. I've been told we can use Cagney's in place of an actual Haven restaurant for breakfast and lunch (sadly, not dinner...) Has anyone else had this experience? How is Cagney's as a substitute for an actual Haven Restaurant? Thanks for any feedback you care to share.
