Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Has anyone here ever used the wire transfer to send money to the ship's casino prior to your cruise? What was your experience? Can you withdraw money from there without any fees and do you have to spend all that money at the casino? TIA
  2. From the Oceania website, I found this and called the number below. The person I talked to gave me all the information on how to do the wire transfer and to how to make sure it would be there for my cruise (she said at least 2 weeks prior to cruise and to put Ship, State Room, and Itinerary so it would go to the right place). Your funds will be available at the cage (there is no fee like with a cash advance or ATM). "At the cage you can withdraw cash, marker and add to your onboard account card to play slots" or tables. SO... I was wondering if anyone on here has actually done this and how it worked out for them. Would prefer to have 'some' money sent this way so we don't have to carry so much cash with us or use the ATM/Advance (both with high fees). CASINO CASH & CREDIT Front Money deposits are accepted for gaming in the form of cash, traveler’s checks, cashier’s checks and wire transfers delivered to us prior to embarkation. All cashier’s checks require prior verification. For more information please give us a call at 877.625.2094.
  3. I am looking into sending funds to Oceania via wire transfer for the casino so we don't have to carry as much cash on us. I got the information, and it sounds like you just go to the casino desk and can withdraw funds as you need it (and that way there is no fee, like there would be if you use an ATM). The person I talked to said you can take out all your funds while onboard or have it wired back to you at the end of the cruise. Has anyone done this? What is your experience?
  4. We have an A1 Concierge level veranda. We have always had a balcony room on every cruise as we love to sit on our deck and enjoy the ocean. Thanks for responding - we appreciate all the input we can get - room service is a good idea for lunch
  5. Thank you for the quick reply. We were hoping they were going through the old locks. We are really excited about our first Oceania cruise (for our 50th wedding anniversary). We have cruised many times, but always on bigger ships and really wanted to try a smaller ship.
  6. Question on the Panama Canal transit. Did Insignia go on the original canal locks or the new larger ones? We are going on a cruise on Insignia through the canal in July and were curious about this. TIA
