Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Just curious. Would you have noticed this had you not looked at the map? Water is water no matter if you are doing circles there, north of there, south of there or east of there. You cant really tell a difference. A sea day is a sea day, especially when the port of call is so close. Take a look at Radiance over out of Long Beach. It goes between LA and Catalina and Ensenada. That ship basically does circles all day every day just off the coast.
  2. Interesting. Stockholder OBC didn't used to show up on your documentation. Maybe it does now. It used to be just normal OBC showed up there. Well OP, if thats the case, disregard what I said then.
  3. That didnt take long. A lot quicker than I thought.
  4. Thats all you need. It wont show up as OBC on your cruise documents, but it will be showing on your account when you board. You just have to trust the process that it will be there.
  5. You can go thru the Priority line and security and board with the rest of the Platinum passengers. Unfortunately, your toddler will have to show up at his allotted time and go through the normal security line and boarding process. He can meet you on somewhere on lido after he boards with the unwashed masses.
  6. Yeah if you are a semi-pro like you are then go for it! "Novices" like those that just want stock for OBC should do a bit of research. $1500 is a lot of money for some people. For others, it is pocket change. For me, you can call me more of an semi-amateur when it comes to stocks. I know enough about day trading to make a buck or two but also just enough to get myself in trouble. Which is why I have a broker. 😁 You know what they say about a little bit of knowledge being a dangerous thing ..
  7. As I said...speak to a financial advisor or stock broker lol.
  8. Go to their contact page. Maybe they have a process where you can manually upload your most recent Fidelity statement showing your CCL stock.
  9. 2 points. And this is advice is worth what you paid for it so take it for what it is...(or as my grandpa would always say, "Let me give you a nickel's worth of free advice")... 1. I wouldn't take stock advice from CC or any public forum for that matter. Speak with your broker or financial advisor. 2. I wouldn't buy CCL stock just for the $50 or $100 OBC you could get (depending on sailing length). Think about how many cruises you would have to take just to break even on your inital stock purchase price. Sounds like you just want to buy the stock for OBC and not as an investment. 100 shares isn't going to make you rich and the ROI just for OBC isn't really worth it, to be honest.
  10. The app store on your phone. Google app store or the Apple equivalent
  11. Here is a YouTube video tour of the cabin right next door with an extended balcony. Cabin 12357. https://youtu.be/zbhLXvlAMiE?si=YLLPbr2PhLtY77zt
  12. My thoughts exactly. Why would Carnival look for a solution to a problem that doesn't exist for them.
  13. I havent seen anyone bashing the OP.
  14. They accept the sail and sign cards now at Amber Cove? I have always had to use credit cards or cash at that big pool bar. If they accept sail and sign now, I can leave cash in my stateroom now. Is that a recent change? Granted, it has been about a year since our last visit to Amber Cove.
  15. You can have 2 different people on the exact same cruise and have 2 completely different experiences and overall views of the cruise. Perfect example -- we were on the Jubilee 2 weeks ago for spring break. My wife and 15 year old daughter loved it and thought it was one of the better cruises we have ever had. I, on the other hand, just thought it was meh...ok. To me it wasn't great but also wasn't terrible. And I am a Carnival "cheerleader" ( or so I have been accused of being here on CC). I have noticed a huge decline in food quality and service over the years. We will be on the 2nd sailing of Firenze on May 2 in a few weeks and I am not expecting spectacular service and am expecting plenty of hic-cups since it will be a "new" ship and crew only on the 2nd sailing. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised but I am going into with my expectations moderated.
