  1. Like most ports, for anyone who has been to Puerto Montt, can I assume there will be lots of sign holding or offices of tour(s) operators? The excursion that we want ( volcano hike) has been sold out forever, and hoping to find it onshore. Even Viator has none that will fit into the time in port. Thanks in advance J.
  2. OP here. My agent got the request in, and now the web site shows 2 beds. So, who knows why some are able to do it themselves, others are not, but it's all good!
  3. I shot off an email to my agent. Hate to bother him when it is something I've always been able to do myself. We have an A2 Aqua class stateroom on the first leg, and a C2 Concierge on the 2nd leg. I didnt think either of those had any kind of special King bed that was not able to be separated, as a poster above speculated.
  4. I got there, but my Bed Configuration is Unknown, however it is in black, not blue, and no drop down arrow to change it.. Hmmmm
  5. Other lines AZ Silversea, Seaborne, we've been able to check a box for bed preference ( 1 or 2 bed set-up). I haven't sailed Celebrity in quite a few years, is there a place anywhere on my booking or account where I can pre-submit or check a box???? Thanks!
  6. Excellent!! Thanks to all for the speedy replies. Sounds easy, either leaving things on hangars or not. Will def attend the meeting.
  7. I searched the forums, and found some same stateroom procedures. We change staterooms in Valparaiso. What is the procedure? We pack our stuff, when does it get moved? Since we are staying on the ship, does our luggage stay in our room the last night, and they move it the changeover day? We plan to get off the ship and tour Valparaiso for the day, so lunch/staying on the ship is not an issue. I read there is a Pass? that you get. Any info appreciated!
  8. Excellent, speedy replies. Thanks so much. What I am concerned about is if I win move-up to an Aqua Class stateroom, the ones under the pool deck. I am a very, very light sleeper. I've always made sure cabins above, and cabins below. Unless I knew for sure that there is a TON of space and sound insulation between Resort deck and Penthouse, I think I probably won't chance it. Thanks again.
  9. I've changed cabins before, staying in the same category, just moving to a different cabin with no problem. Related question, if I win a move-up bid, has anyone from past experience, then moved to a different cabin in the new category. IF I bid, and win C2 to an Aqua Class cabin, can I move to a different Aqua Class Cabin???
  10. Has anyone done a mid- or post/pre cruise which includes a side trip to Machu Picchu? I'm looking at a couple of cruises (Sapphire Princess, for one) that include flights directly into Cusco, at 11,000 feet, and tours of the city that begin right after getting off the airplane. I'm wondering how this all works out with a bunch of geezers. I have gone to Machu Picchu before, but I booked my own tours, and, on the advice of other travelers, immediately made a descent into the Sacred Valley - 9,000 feet - to avoid the lower oxygen levels of Cusco. I remember stepping off the plane and first thinking: geez, I hope I can make it to the shuttle van! I wasn't the only one; my 14 y/o daughter was with me and she felt the same. Once inside the shuttle van we each leaned back our seats to relieve the dizziness. I cannot imagine doing a walking tour of Cusco within hours of leaving the ship, at sea level. Anyone who can share their experience?
