Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Cruised on the Carnival Liberty April 17th-21st. When I was in the main casino at Atlantis, there were signs up everywhere that they are a non-smoking facility. I was pleasantly surprised because I hadn't seen anything posted about it. I figured that some of you would like to know. Oh, and their machines were much nicer to me than the machines on the Liberty.
  2. Got back from the Liberty last week and wanted to give you all an update. I had thought that the no-smoking signs were going to be big signs displayed at the top of the machines like they are at WinStar, but Liberty only had a little sticker near the area where you put your card. I was playing at a non-smoking machine and the smoke level wasn't too bad. When I went to try my luck at another part of the casino, the smoke was overwhelming and I wondered why there was such a difference. It didn't click until I went back to a non-smoking machine and noticed the sticker. If it had been a snake it would have bitten me! LOL!
  3. My condolences on the loss of your beloved dog.
  4. I will be sailing on the Carnival Liberty in about a week, and wondered which machines in the casino are non-smoking. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks for the report. I can't find the other thread where you mentioned Baha Mar. How much of the property were you allowed explore without a day pass? Do they let you have lunch there, or are you just limited to the casino?
  6. Following this thread, because I want to know too.
  7. Thanks for asking this question. I had a similar pass through Carnival in 2020 that included access to just about everything except the pools and the water park. I think I paid $90 for it or something like that. I roamed around Atlantis so much that day that I could hardly move when I got back to the ship. Found your post, and was hoping that someone had some good news. Oh well!
  8. True. When I was on the Freedom I would have breakfast via room service and go to the Seaday Brunch for lunch.
  9. My last three cruises have been on the Carnival Breeze, which has a pasta bar for lunch which is located in Cucina del Capitano. It is included in the cruise price and is a nice quiet lunch spot with a decent selection. I noticed that the Glory does not have Cucina del Capitano, but does the Glory have anything comparable to the pasta bar (i.e., quiet or away from the Lido deck)? Thanks.
  10. I am sure you will find some other Friends of Bill. For some reason, every time I have posted about looking for Friends of Bill on an upcoming cruise, they have shown up. 🙂
  11. I was on the Carnival Breeze Dec. 5-10. If I remember correctly, most of the JoB machines in the Casino Annex were 6/5, but I think there was one machine that had 8/5 on a multi deck Bonus Poker or Bonus Poker Deluxe. Unfortunately, the 8/5 machine also had Keno, so it was usually occupied. The 6/5 machines were 25 cents minimum, and the 8/5 machine was either 10 cents or 25 cents minimum. Edited to add that the JoB machines also had other games.
  12. I'd like to add my two cents worth. I like to get room service for an early breakfast, then the MDR brunch later and treat it as an early lunch. Fewer crowds that way. I'm also a fan of Cucina Del Capitano which has a nice sit down lunch that is included in the fare.
  13. LOL! I don't drink, but I still had a great time on my two pandemic cruises. Reading the Cruise Critic boards and subscribing to a couple of cruise channels on YouTube helped. I knew what to expect.
  14. "Afternoon Tea" then. I think the other posters knew that I was talking about the organized Tea Time on Carnival ships.
