  1. When I did the 10 day radiance we had a new menu every night. So I'm sure there are at least 10 different menus.
  2. It will be the first time I'm doing this for myself, not for someone else in a long time. I used to live in boca Raton florida on the beach, but prices are so high now and the area so busy, I wanted a quieter place to live. I'm hoping for a farmers market like we had in s. Florida. Nothing close to me here in dallas. I do hope getting out and walking and being out and about I'll meet others. It just no longer makes sense to live here where I am now. I liked pompano fl. I know it well from when I lived in boca I used to drive down A1A thru there and think that would be a fun lifestyle too. Hard to just pick one place to live!
  3. Thank you. This is kinda crazy going out completely on my own. I got a cousin in Vienna fl but there isnt a port close enough. Lots of golfers move there. So 4 or 5 hours apart. And a few other friends in florida. Just no where I wanted to move. It's a huge step for me.
  4. Yes, mine is for double that. I saw someone else posted it's a good deal for them. 2 years ago I saw a black Friday price of $99. That's the least I've seen and not since.
  5. Find a TA with refundable group rates if that's why you dont want to book sooner. I wouldnt wait a year out the way prices are going. My TA says cant book rcl air 2 sea and transfers until about 11 months out. I booked the TA from port Canaveral to spain and the next 10 day leg. Some booked a 3rd leg, which is 7 days because it ends in athens they wanted to see. The TA is a really good price, the extra legs are much higher, almost double per day. There is a section on cc where people suggest hotels in whichever city you are flying in or out of. Posters advise to book hotels direct in europe, though seems a lot more expensive. I see deals on Priceline half what booking direct is. Lots of good tips on the other cc sections. I'll end in rome and they post be careful to get the original hotel bldg as many hotels there have built annexes that may be not as historic and not even the same block as the hotel you think you booked. They also suggest booking in the currency of where you will be staying. In my case euros. I saw some article where some major hotel is accusing of scamming by booking in usa dollars and adding to the price when they convert.
  6. You get a whopping $75 if you booked a inside cabin for missing the extra day. Kinda chintzy. At .east balconys get $200 obc.
  7. The one I bought is 2045 sf (not 1200). I have too much stuff for 1200 sf. I go to half price books all the time. Me and my bil. Hes also a reader. Hes a balduchi fan too. Here is one for jimbo. Penthouse whole 5th floor of this ocean front bldg. $2400 a month HOA. Even if I came up with the purchase price, no way I'm paying that much HOA. Those high hoas are my issue with condos, so I compromised on location.
  8. Idk he was still alive. I've read a lot of his books and liked him. I'm a avid reader. I always bring paperbacks with me on cruises.
  9. I wanted a condo, because in my mind a single family house is less secure than a condo. I could be wrong. When push came to shove, sf won out. I picked a condo 2 or 3 miles further to get the sf I wanted. To me over 2000 sf is huge. It feels like a luxurious amount of space to me. HUGE. I did want to be even closer to the port but moved to less touristy, where snow birds have winter retreats to more residential. Idk. Space won out for me too. I'm not a whole family, just me and lots of junk I store lol. There are some lovely homes there that are single family. I wanted a condo, and not a townhouse with stairs either. Limited my choices. I still love to look. Everything is a compromise. People are saying so big for just you, get something smaller, less utilities. Idk if too big. Its bigger than where I live now. Looking forward to all that space. Feels like a luxury. I'm glad uber exists.
  10. Carnival announced earlier because they have a ship coming in sunday. Royal doesnt have a ship coming in until Thursday. Being surprised that carnival HAD to announce first to me means you just want something NOW you dont have. I'd expect monday royal will announce. It's a long weekend. Carnival had no choice. Royal had a choice.
  11. I have very bad luck both b2b legs on allure. I specifically asked not to be seated with a large family, and the head waiter lied and said dont worry, we got you. Next week better table. That was the week I was 11th at a ten top, the other 10 were same family. They ever got around to fixing it. I think both head waiters should be fired on allure from what I saw they are liars. Oasis our group cruise last mid march our TA had set up a group travelling together to eat near each other... something happened. The guy from that group complained loudly most of the week. Royal used to take care ro put people kinda similar at tables, now they dont care. Its pot luck.
  12. Grandeur same. It's not a adventure issue. We thought they werent using the stabilizers to save fuel. We rocked and rolled.
  13. There is usually peanut butter and maybe jelly over by the waffle makings for breakfast seems to me where I saw it.
  14. Cocoa beach where I WAS looking. I thought the backside of cocoa beach where you face the banana river is a nice area. This one has every amenity, rv and boat parking is a biggie. Billiards. My cousin and real estate agent both pushing me to buy a pool table, no thanks. My cousin even said I should host a party once a week and he would maybe come up to see me lol. I for sure dont want the obligation of a weekly party. And of course the pool and shuffle board and all the normal things. Mine has a library I really like. The same banana river is what I look out to, except it a much wider river by the time it goes past my new condo. Problem is this one is only 1305 sf, bigger but not big enough and I think HOA $860, pushing that 1k mark hard. My hoa includes wifi and tv from spectrum. A lot in miami hoa include electricity is why hoa in Miami . I really looked hard for something big enough with a reasonable hoa, just never found it. I wanted to stay in cape Canaveral or cocoa beach. This is the banana river view and condo has TV and boat parking. I really liked this area better just not the size of the units and hoa. I'd just call it deep water side of the island like they do in texas. I'd have preferred this location. More tucked away.
