Vote for Your Favorite Real-Life Princess Romantic Love Story!

A big 'thank you' goes to everyone who entered our search to find the most romantic love story from onboard a Princess ship. We received some wonderful, heart-warming romantic tales which made us smile, laugh and even cry, as we read through them. We truly appreciate your time and effort.

Star of The Love Boat, Gavin MacLeod, and Cruise Critic editor in chief, Carolyn Spencer Brown have selected the five finalists.

Now its time for you, our members, to vote for the best story. Voting closes on Sunday, September 6.

Read the five stories below and vote for the one you think is the most romantic. The winner will received a 7-day cruise from Princess Cruises.

Boy Meets Girl At Sea by princess chickie
A true Princess proposal, wedding & baby by smashrt
"i do" on the high seas by benatty
Regally Golden Subterfuge by ggprincess2004
The Contest by design25

All finalists will receive a copy of The Love Boat on DVD, signed by Gavin MacLeod.

Then, grab a coffee (and a Kleenex) and read through the rest of the stories.

The winner will be announced on or before September 28, 2009.

I think they should all win a cruise. All the stories were heartwarming,
Come on, Princess, show what a great cruise line you are.

Tracey-

I haven't met you and haven't seen my college buddy Scott in years but he sends updates and photos once in a while and I hope that one day we'll bump into each other again somewhere somehow.

That said, being the romantic, sappy gal that I am, I not only blindly voted in support of an old friend's wife's literary dreams, but I read your story. And Tracey, it's wonderful!

I do have to say that as youngsters at BU, I didn't get to see that side of Scott! Nice going, buddy! I know a lot of men out there who could use a few lessons!

Best to you both and good luck!
Keri

I agree, all the stories were amazing. Princess could honor them all-one a month..What a testimony to a great cruise line..PRINCESS.

What a great idea, and all the stories are so heartwarming, it is a real change to read some good news rather than all the sorrow and heartbreak in the world.

What a difficult choice. :D How great would it be if Princess chose one overall winner but invited all the contestants to be onboard? or better yet, give them all a cruise that co-incided with the date of their special cruise and make them special guests onboard.

The publicity would be great for Princess, and it would be another memorable cruise experience for the couples.:D

Each was wonderful for their own reasons. To all of the writers...thank you for letting us sneak a peek into your lives. I laughed and I cried and I suppose deep down inside I long for the love each of you have.

Good luck to all of you! :)

They all were great stories for different reasons. I am always looking for 'Mr. Right' when I cruise......maybe some day???? ;) :)

I just figured it out . . .

I didn't realize that there was a slide show of the photos posted by the finalists, but take a look and you will see one common denominator. All the guys are what I like to call folically challenged. I guess the less hair you have the more romantic you become. To those women out there still searching for true love, don't forget my bald brothers.

A Decade of Romance

The couple in "I Do On the High Seas" is my sister and brother-in-law. Watching them get married on the Grande Princess is one of my most treasured memories! I would love to see Princess award them a cruise for next Novemeber (2010) to celebrate ten years of romance and wedded bliss. Wouldn't it be amazing to renew their vows at sea?

I feel badly for all the contestants, especially when they probably don't know what the delay is all about.

...do we have a winner?

CruisenLexie September 29th, 2009 01:19 PM

OK, so I don't have a life and I don't know anyone who entered their story but I have nothing better to do than check this thread so I can avoid doing what I should be doing. Have mercy on our souls and give us a winner  :p :D

CruisenLexie September 29th, 2009 01:27 PM
