Oh Fantastic! It's always great cruising with family....we may end up having a large group from the DFW area so we should have a blast. We have even discussed having our own "White Party" somewhere during the days at sea--of course much more clothed than an Atlantis or RSVP out of respect for all the passengers and, well...we aren't 25 anymore...LOL.. :)

There is a regular thread about this cruise up and running and already up to 50 pages if you want to check it out.

One of those members has even set up a webpage with the cruise

Looking forward to it already! :)

Lord, we may know you guys! We are from the DFW area, and have a condo in Arlington still. So I am glad to see more family going. Are there gatherings planned by your group? Hi WoodyNDick: Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but I have been on the Voyager for the past three weeks. Had a great time but long. Met a few guys who will be on the Mariner next Oct. Sounds like a nice group so far.

I do get down to Galveston sometimes, for fun with my partner and also work every Sunday at the Sea men's Center.

I hope we keep in touch between now and the cruise. My friend Jerry will be going with me, my partner has to work, so he will not be going.

Keep in touch

Robert.

We have the 9 p.m. dinner, so maybe I will get to join the FOD meeting to meet you all. Thanks, Louis and Linda (Mom) LeDoux

Wow...sounds like a growing group we have! I know that Royal Caribbean doesn't advertise the FOD meetings in their publication, so be sure to check the bulletin board on the ship to find out where and when.

Has anyone been on the Mariner and might know where the FOD meetings are taking place?

M&D: I have been on the Mariner of the Seas before (a 47 day cruise around south America). Normally you can post a note on the community note board, and you can set the time and place you would like. In the past we have used the Champaign Bar around 5 p.m. (before the first sitting), just to get to known each other in the first days of the cruise.

Hello Everyone,

We have a group taking this cruise as well... Also from the Dallas, TX area. Me, my wife, my sister (Lafayette), my wife's mother (Shreveport), her mother's sister (Lafayette), my wife's best friend (Dallas), her best friend's mother, her best friend's sister, and her best friends mother's sister (all from TX)...

Getting to Rome 4 nights early for some sight seeing... My wife and my 3rd time in Rome... One of the most beautiful cities on Earth. Love that place.

I am EXTREMELY extroverted, so I will likely get to know many of the people on the ship... I'll be at the karaoke gigs, shows, casino, dancing, and just about everywhere... HUGE Football fanatic (LSU and the New Orleans Saints), so my wife and I will be up for all the games... Hope they have a place set up for that.

Really looking forward to the cruise! This will be our 5th cruise and first on RCI...

Hey Guys and Gals!!!

Cant believe it is almost here, have been waiting for so long! It hopefully will be posted, but if not, let's plan on a pre-dinner cocktail hour(s) at the Champagne Bar. We have 2nd seating so we plan to be there around 7pm.

Oh! I forget something...in addition to us 3, some other friends are coming with us: Bob and Brad from the Carson City, Nevada area - very nice fun guys. You will see Brad every morning on the track doing his morning laps. And also coming along are Dave and Matt from San Francisco, very interesting and nice guys also. Dave is QUITE the dancing...well, I will say... king. For sure if you like to dance (ballroom to disco), be sure to meet Dave. He is always looking for a dance partner. Alas I have 2 left feet. See ya! Kent

Hi all, sound like we are going to have a great group for the crossing. My friend Jerry and I are all for the pre-dinner cocktail hour(s) at the Champagne Bar. We will see you there ever-night.

Looking forward to meeting all of you, how about if on departure day we all stop by the pool bar (I think its the Sky bar) and say hi to each other?
