Eurodam Wet Dock December 2013

:rolleyes: Understand that the Eurodam will be wet docked in Freeport December 9-17th this year...any knowledge of whether any interior refurbishing (carpeting, etc) will be done at this time? Thanks for any input!

Per HA reply to an email: " carpet in public areas, repair to specific stateroom repetive challenges (love that) and maintenance to comply with Lloyd's insurance".

Thank you for that info! The new carpeting will be nice to have for our March sailing...and hopefully our SA is not one with "repetitive challenges"!!! :eek: In general, would expect her to be all freshened up so a good thing.:)

We were onboard in February and there were various areas that needed some fresh carpet. The ship has taken a beating over the last five years.

:confused: I thought that the Eurodam was refurbished in 2011...or at least it states so on Ship Facts? That's why I wasn't sure there'd be interior replacement done in December...now doubly glad to hear carpeting will be changed out.:)

I like hearing this as we will be sailing late Jan on her. A little spiffying up is always nice.:)

That is a great term -- "repetitive challenges".

Eurodam was in a 10-day drydock for standard maintenance from 02-12 APR 2011 in Freeport, the Bahamas, her first dry-dock since joining HAL in JUL 08

Eurodam launched in 2008, a 2011 refurbishment would be unlikely, unless it was some type of minor cosmetics.

Judging from John's comments, it sounds like it was more mechanical than anything else.
