Casino rate?

I'm the furthest thing from a high roller but saw I have a VIFP casino rate while doing a mock booking today. For $680.70 total (and solo), I can get an extended balcony (#6450) on Liberty doing the same 4 day Bahamas sailing I did this past December for 1/27/19 sailing.

On that December trip, I played maybe $200 TOPS on slots in the casino and won $500 that I shoved into the safe and went home with. Did just this $200 slot playing give me that casino rate or is it just a regular sale that everyone gets and they're calling it "casino rate"?

I paid about $570 for the Dec sailing and that was in an Oceanview solo, so I THINK $680 total is a good deal for that extended balcony. When I saw a YouTube video of it I fell in love with the L shaped cabin layout and lounge chair out there and also how long the balcony was. That sealed the deal and i'm officially cancelling the DC trip I had booked for Dec for this!

If I keep playing $200 or more in slots on my sailings can I expect these "casino rates" to continue popping up? If so, i'll do this sailing every year now as I loved visiting Atlantis as well as the Liberty ship which is my new favorite ship.

Everyone from my group that just sailed on the Freedom who played anything at the casino got that offer yesterday. It looks like a pretty good deal with the only downside being I couldn't use it on my next group cruise.

Ah I see...I knew Carnival didn't suddenly consider me a high roller lol. But yeah, it's a great deal and caused me to cancel another trip for it. I'll be sure to play in the casino again just to (hopefully) keep that sale coming.

I got one too and I only play the slots just a little because of the smoke. It saved us about $40 per person over my brother's booking who was early saver. No chips, OBC, drinks, or anything else included.

I got offer also, included small amount of casino chips. Not big gambler either. My wife got offer without casino chips. We pool playing on my card at the slots so could be why I got the offer. Checked a couple of cruises, about $200-300 savings over early saver rate.

Casino chips included is great. I usually stick to only slots, but next sailing i'll play some roulette in hopes of getting those chips included next time.

I don't spend much at all in the casino and got the offer saving us $400 pp on our upcoming cruise. My daughter spends about the same and didn't get the offer. The only difference between us is we have a few more cruises over her.

I just got my first casino offer ever. Don't think the prices looked like they were too discounted but I'm going to look at one of course!

The offer I see saves about $11 off of the ES rates for the few cruises I checked. Not worth it if they expect me to spend time in the casino.

My sister recently got a casino rate offered she hasn't sailed Carnival in 3 years. Last time she sailed , she did spent some time in the Casino.

I just booked yesterday with another cruise line because Carnival's casino offers have been more expensive this year and offering fewer perks.

Thanks. I logged out of Carnival website and did a mock booking for comparison price and the same sailing is showing $752.70 where my casino rate is $680.70. So it's a $70 savings. Not huge, but not peanuts either.

Also, it's only showing regular balconies available while I got an extended one (first time with one of those!), so it seems a good deal. And while logged out it wants $300 deposit down whereas logged in with the casino rate, it's only $198 deposit. So i'm a happy cruiser. :)

You don’t have to set foot in the casino. I never do, anymore, but still get the casino rate offers. The best rates are usually after final payment, when they are trying to fill the ship.
