I saw something this week end that made me think of you fine people on this board.

My family and I were at an air show at NAS JRB Willow Grove on Saturday. The hangar usually used by the Marine Corps Aviation unit was being used to display several historic aircraft. While looking around the hangar I saw a huge sign on the back wall. The sign said:

FOD...Our #1 Enemy

We all must Fight Against FOD

I had heard that the military was somewhat homophobic but I though..."What's up with THAT?"

It turns out that FOD meant Foreign Object Damage. When someone leaves a tool, etc out and it hits or gets sucked up into a plane's engine.

I got a big laugh out of it, that I really couldn't explain to anyone at the time.
