Super Bowl on Azamara / Quest

Yes. If they can get reception they will show it. We were on Quest in 2010 and watched the Superbowl with others. We had left Hong Hong and were on our way to Vietnam so it started at about 6:00am Monday morning.

They had a light breakfast set up which was continental, but my DH who is a Chef thought they could have done more and it would have not been that much work. We had to take turns (so we did not give up our table/seat) and run to the buffet at half time to get a better selection of food (and I really wanted a smoothie). There wasn't anyone there asking if they could get us anything.

The game was also available to watch from your stateroom as we met others who said they would join us, but later on told us they could not get out that early so watched it from their room.

  • 1 year later...

I just realized I'll be on the Quest in Punta de Este, Uruguay for the next Super Bowl, and on Celebrity Solstice disembarding in New Zealand in 2014. Not good planning for an NFL fanatic!

Glad to hear we'll catch the game on the ship in 2013. Unless we find a good sports bar in town (we have an overnight).

Thanks for the good news - glad I did the forum search!

They did a great job at the Super Bowl party in 2011. I think they took Jade13's suggestion and offered a full breakfast including an omelette station. The room was set up in Packer/Steelers colors ......there was only one person on the Steelers side of the room. :) Drinks were served starting around 8:00 am.

We had left Hong Kong the night before and our sea day was Super Bowl Monday which began at 6:00 am.

Most of the officers were there and we had a very nice passenger turn out.

And on the transcanal trip on Journey in 2011 they set up the Casino bar with a party table of foods and quite a bit of banter throughout the ship. The Captain said he was supporting the Green Steelers

I'm going to print this thread for my DH, who is a normal guy for most of the year but turns into a raving madman during NFL post-season. Our travel schedule actually revolves around the play-offs and we even have black-out dates during the Superbowl. Can you imagine?:eek:

But thanks to this thread, he'll have no more excuses for not sailing Azamara during that time. Oh how I love CC!

As an avid Steelers fan married to a Packers fan, that was a tough Super Bowl at our house! Unlike the MightQuinn house, it's me that won't miss a game. Unless I'm on a ship, that is.

Do they have the Super Bowl in the Casino?

Our Superbowl party was held in the show lounge.

It was a tough superbowl for the one Steelers (or at least that would admit it)fan. We did invite him over to our side of the room. :)

The only bad thing about watching the game on a satellite feed is that you do not get the commercials.
