Best hotel in Manila

Recommended Posts

Good morning again.

We are also doing a side trip to the Philippines for 4-5 days.

Could someone recommend a hotel in Manila?

I've heard mixed reviews about the Manila Peninsula and Shangri-la Makati.

We will also stay in Davao for a couple of nights. Will check out Pearl Farm Resort. Has any stayed there? Any thoughts?

With thanks and kind regards,

Hi Scott -

I lived as an expat in Manila for four months. We stayed at the Ascott Glorietta. It is more of an excutive style apartments but the cost is still reasonable and offer large living space and kitchen/laundry in units which is nice. The breakfast buffet that is included is also great. It is attached to the Glorietta mall which is great. The Shang is across the street from this Ascott. Most of our short term visitors stayed at the Shang. The Shang has a great buffet in the hotel. This is a great location. It's very close to two grocery stores and taxi cues.

Can you give me more details on what your looking to do in Manila? I'd be happy to do my best to help.
