Compensation for delayed cruise

We are booked on the Celebrity Century for September 25th -- this Saturday -- out of Port Everglades. Considering the current weather forecast with respect to Hurricane Jeanne, it is possible that we may be dealyed getting out, just like several ships were with Frances. My questions are:

I believe I read in another post that Celbrity offered its passengers a $500 shipboard credit per room plus 50% off a future cruise. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

How can a shipboard credit be used -- drinks? gambling? to pay tips? Are there limits as to what it can be spent on?

How do vouchers for future cruises work -- is it 50% off the best fare you can find? Is the amount limited by what you paid for your cabin on the initial cruise?

Any insight would be appreciated!
