Where does the Queen Mary 2 embark from in NYC?

Traditionallyhe Embarkation and Disembarkation of the Queen Mary 2 would be at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal located in Redhook, Brooklyn.

Location of that part of the Port is behind the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel.

On the local street level near the Gowanus / Brooklyn Queens Expressway you will find signs that are located on street poles - Brooklyn Cruise Terminal (White & Blue).

We have always boarded the Queen from that location. I know that in some cases when there was a conflict with a Princess Ship Schedule, the

Queen had been directed to dock at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on West Street in the West 50's Streets.

I think unless otherwise directed, you should consider the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to be the boarding site.

We have found departing from the Redhook Terminal those many times in the past to be the best experience out of all our cruising. It is clean, organized and swift moving.

taxi, cruise transfer. there's no easy way to do it with public transportation. no tolls from JFK, there will be tolls from EWR, which will up the fare about $30, depending on the route they use into Brooklyn (assuming your leaving from Brooklyn)

This looks like an old post but will try a question. Sailing on the QM2 in September and wondering about getting from the airport to the boarding dock. How have folks gotten from Newark? From JFK?

We always use the Cunard coach transfers to and from EWR, JFK, and LGA.

If you have a choice JFK is easier, no bridges or tunnels even though technically Newark is a few miles closer. Depending on the day of the week or the time of the day leave sufficient time. It could easily take over an hour once you get in the car if it is rush hour. As I write this Google maps says it is 1 hour and 11 minutes from Newark airport to the cruise terminal, and 56 minutes from Kennedy.

Also, if it is rush hour it may be more difficult to arrange transport on the spot.
