Celebrity Equinox Oct. 20 -Mediterranean

Glad to see you're on Equinox on the 20th! We're in the process of sorting through the shore excursions and deciding whether to take the easy and low-aggravation route of booking thru Celebrity or researching private tour firms, which will probably be cheaper. Have you made any decisions about tours yet? Maybe we could plan to get together once we are onboard. We are spending one day in Rome before we head for the port. How about you. Hi Ken and Deane - apologies for the late reply (work gets in the way lol).

With ref to the excursions, we have only booked one with Celebrity, for when we are in Kusadasi .For the other ports we are intending to make our own way.

We went to Mykonos on our first holiday and so we are looking forward to just wandering into town, down to the harbour.

For Istanbul we have looked on CC and there is lots of info on what to do to get around independently, so we are going to give that a go. The same goes for Athens (strikes allowing).

Santorini we are going to play by ear, and as for Naples, well as its the last day of the holiday we don't plan on getting off the ship :D

Now we just have to start planning on what to take, and wait for that luggage tag button to appear on our booking (will it, wont it, the suspense is killing me) :eek:

And in answer to your question we fly in on the day, so we will have to do Rome another day! ;)

This is Ken and Rex from Atlanta. We will be on the cruise also.:) Thats the Oct 20 sailing not the 29th

We are going to be in Rome also a day early. We are in stateroom 6103.
