Anybody ever try this at Atlantis?

I was thinking about booking a room at the Comfort Suites(or whatever it is) right next door to Atlantis. The only problem is, the maximum occupancy per room is 4 people. I have a family of 5. Has anybody tried to sneak the extra person. Or my wife and I thought we could take the kids on shifts to Atlantis since we'd only have 4-keys(or passes). Could we both use the same key or pass to get in if we switched places? One stay at the Comfort Suites pool for a while and then we switch up? Thanks.

We have 2 timeshares on Paradise Island. One through Atlantis, the other just down the street that is not associated. My children and grandchildren use the other condo while we stay at Harborside. We get plenty of wristbands for everyone. I do not know if you get the wristbands from Comfort Suites when staying there, but I doubt it. I would expect that you take your room key to a checkin point at Atlantis to get towels and wristbands. To avoid any problem, which I would not anticipate, just split up and get them at 2 different spots and/or times. Your children will have the time of their lives.

Hi -

You may want to read through some old posts related to Atlantis to get an opinion on this. Some posters have indicated that they have been unsuccessful in their efforts to get 5 wristbands. One woman, however, posted her successful technique. She realized that the hut where you went for towels and wristbands was only making note of the number of towels distributed. She and her daughter went to the hut and said they didn't need towels but got two wristbands. When her husband went to the hut with the room key he was able to ask for three towels and three wristbands. Her theory seemed to be that as long as you don't take the towels you can slip through. Don't know if her theory works all of the time, but it's the most detailed info I found on getting 5 people in. If you read through old posts there are a number of accounts of trying to get in with more than 4 people.

I'm going next weekend on Sovereign with a large group. We have a number of snorkeling excursions booked. I'll let you know the reactions. I'm sort of with you.... I went to Atlantis without using the pools and didn't feel particularly cheated. This time I'm going with kids so it was tempting. But we, too, have been to great waterparks at i.e. Blizzard Beach at Disney, and even here in Pittsburgh we have a pretty good waterpark called "Sandcastle." I'm just not sure that's an activity that is a "must do" on my cruise vacation.

Happy planning -

Lisa
